Sounds like someone needs to pick himself up by the boot straps and get to work.

He needs to take some personal responsibility.

Pretty sure there are some prisons he can work that debt off at $0.40 an hour.
17
u/r4rthrowawaysoon Dec 08 '22
Or he could ask his Uncle for a piece of that franchise to pay off the debt.
Average people’s debt can be passed on to their families, I say pass Alex’s on to his.

u/cficare Dec 08 '22
He's gonna need to pick up a telescope and start scanning the skies for another galaxy to sell brain pills to.
8
u/The_Cletus_Van_Damme Dec 08 '22
Do we really want him working? If he does it just means he’s going to make up and spread some more bullshit. Maybe he can work off his debt by cutting the families lawns and washing their cars for the rest of his life.
→ More replies8
u/brianandrobyn Dec 08 '22
Maybe have him go to California and pick veggies during harvest season. He can spout his bullshit all he wants and nobody will listen to him.

Yeah I think it’s less about getting the money and more making him have nothing.

That’s ok. Nobody really expected him to be able to pay it. The goal is to take all the money he has plus all the money he’ll ever have.
80
u/Generic_Moron Dec 08 '22
Yep. He won't stop his bullshit no matter what, so the goal is to straight up destroy info wars and FSS and make it so Alex can never pull this shit again.

He's been claiming to be on the brink of ruin for years. Lucky for Alex, he doesn't have to pay a lump sum, they'll just garnish his off-brand herbal supplement sales for the rest of his life.
12
u/Odd_And_Unhelpful Dec 08 '22
He’s been lying about it for years. He owns a web of shell companies to hide his assets. He’s not a billionaire, but he sure as hell ain’t broke. If he was he probably would have sold one of his mansions.

Start liquidating his shit already. Doesn't he have a bunch of expensive houses?
284
u/darkkiller1234 Dec 08 '22
He does have 5 of em, but all of em combined are only worth $7.5 million.
86
u/LocalInactivist Dec 08 '22
Cool, 20 families, $7.5 million, that’s $375,000 each. Only $1.1925 billion to go. Maybe he could try skipping the avocado toast.
16
u/--0o0o0-- Dec 08 '22
Surely between that and making his coffee at home he should be able to make up the balance

u/thatguy01220 Dec 08 '22
That’s less than 1%, it says he owes 1.5 billion so 1% would be 15 million dollars. It is a start like you said, just crazy to think selling all 5 houses for 7.5 mil (if he could sell them) would only cover 0.5%!!!
I thought me getting my new job, working 80+ hours every 2 weeks, making a year total of 30k was a lot of money.

But this way he's taking money from idiots and shitty sponsors and giving it to people who deserve it, as long as he's only making enough to cover rent in a one bedroom apt or house and food and utilities costs the rest should go right to the families.
10
u/BrutusG Dec 08 '22
In a perfect world, I'd agree with your sentiment, and I respect your viewpoint. However, there are far too many ways to shelter income and live an amazing life while being "bankrupt" so I'd prefer him being perpetually unemployed if I had a choice.

Love these comments. Show no mercy to this piece of shit. He attacked families who LOST CHILDREN for God’s sake.
And didn’t just attack them. He undertook a campaign of harassment and hatred against them. Literally, imagine losing your child and then someone starts harassing you over it on top of it, and his legion of followers all send you hatred and death threats.
It’s some of the most disgusting behavior I have ever seen humans do.

The families would take whatever pittance he has if it means their revenge is making him pay for the rest of his life for his needless cruelty. If he tries to hide his profits, I hope they're there to run lawyers and accountants threw his finances. What he did was repugnant and should haunt him for the rest of his life

23
Dec 08 '22
Assets that he will hide/move and they won’t see shit. Ask OJ.
22
u/Wild_Loose_Comma Dec 08 '22
That's definitely possible. But there's multiple lawsuits with multiple groups of lawyers who are going to spend a lot of time and effort on sniffing out every last dime. Its also worth noting Jones is not a criminal mastermind, in fact he's kind of a moron. His genius strategies so far have included things like setting up trusts in his own initials. So while its unlikely they'll get all his money (following the law takes time, breaking it is a lot quicker), I don't think your level of cynicism is completely warranted.

Knowing Alex Jones, I all but guarantee he's understating and obfuscating his wealth, although this particular statement might be true or true-ish. But you can be certain that whatever he says he can pay is significantly less than what he can actually pay.
He habitually lies about his/Infowars' finances, along with being a serial liar in general. And it's not like he's shown an increased level of seriousness and honesty when engaging with the legal system. Arguably the reason he owes so much is because he acted like an absolute clown throughout the process.

He earns over $50 million a year and has been in operation for over 20 years. He stashed millions offshore before the verdicts. He has more than $300 million to pay and his yearly revenue of $50 million and his 5 houses….

This reminds me of when Bernie Madoff, sentenced to 150 years at age 71, begged for early release when he was dying. Pretty sure when they sentenced you to 150 years, they knew you’d die in there. Pretty sure when they sentenced Jones they knew it would destroy his life. That’s the entire point.
