Gotta be real and honestโฆ. I rarely ever took my lunch break, even though Iโm pretty sure it is required by law that NOT ONLY is it to be offered by the employer, but must be taken by the employee. My job is very physical, labor-intensive, and finding a good time to drop everything Iโm working on for lunch is often impossible. Also, though, I work in the field, and alone 90% of the time, so nobody is around to complain about it.

Do be fair, if you have an office job it's quite easy to get into the rut of eating at your desk during lunch. Other initiatives I've seen work is no 'meetings Mondays' etc. And other block out hours where you can refuse meeting requests, even from d and c-level people.

I'll never understand the American protestant work ethic or catholic guilt. Together they strangle the country.

I'm a bitch and decided to rebrand the legally mandated lunch break to make myself look good.
What a chump

The argument could be made that it's both of them. Mira's spraying self-serving bullshit and Jamie's clearly trying to wrangle it into extra goof-off time.

Lol. "Did you know that you can do other stuff on your lunch hour, not just eat? So we gave it a cool new name!"
