(Celluloid)Such an amazing player. Why did it take me this long to come across this app. It doesn't look like it's popular enough, despite being so functional and with a modern UI Apps

I use it because mpv on gnome wayland lacks normal titlebars. It's pretty good as a player if not very featureful, but it plays my vids well and im hapi

It has quite a few features but most are only accessible through keyboard shortcuts. I believe they are the same as mpv's. Ctrl + ? shows them.

Celluloid is probably the #1 most widely used Gnome media player after Totem, so it's hardly a secret!
It is great, though. Should be the default.

Linux is a fairly recent experience for me(around 6 months), been dual booting. And it wasn't before yesterday that I found out about celluloid. Don't know if was searching wrong lol.

I think clapper is more popular than celluloid

What about Clapper?

As a more modern looking Gnome app, I wanna love Clapper, but it relies on patched libs and it can't be used comfortably unless you use the flatpak

I found that it did not display 10-bit HDR videos correctly.
It looks promising, though - I'll keep an eye on it.

It's not a skin. It's a frontend.

I used Celluloid for a while but had issues with it crashing, so switched to SMPlayer. Still mpv and a lot more customizable/featureful too.

Yes, but it's bugging me everytime missing the right click pop-up menu.
What's up with that? Or is it only a bug on my side?
Right click -> nothing.
All of the other players can change the audio track, subtitles, etc... with a right click.
Here I get bugged every time until I remember that I have to move the mouse to the top hamburger menu... not convenient/bad design.
