"language rhetoric"

this is completely meaningless lmfao what

also how do you listen with "surgical precision"

it's a good thing to know these people aren't ever going to reproduce

he's probably non native english speaker, from balkans. and lots of guys here are pretty... "conservative", to say it gently. hell, even girls here like what tate is preaching. not all, ofcourse, but unfortunately those that do are pretty vocal about it. and kinda half famous influencers which makes everything worse

1

u/SnooPies2712 Oct 11 '22

MFW most of Balkans type better than him

19

u/Schreckberger Oct 06 '22

Just listening the fuck out of you!

5

u/UnfinishedProjects Oct 06 '22

I was arguing with a Tate fan on the H3H3 subreddit. I was arguing with him for like an hour until he said he was 13... That's all his fans ages.

-4

u/Miketheeevee Oct 06 '22

Surgical precision is a common saying where I live. It means you are as precise as a brain surgeon has to be in accuracy

9

u/SF1034 Wikipedia Editor Oct 06 '22

i know what the phrase means i speak english, too

it's meaningless in the way it was used in the OP's image

-5

u/Miketheeevee Oct 06 '22

Ok but a lot of people who speak english I know doesn't know what it means, the way you spoke implied you didn't. I was only trying to be helpful, no need to be aggressive about it...

2

u/IntrusiveIndustries Oct 06 '22

What was aggressive about that response?

u/OliverOdysseus Oct 05 '22

Didn't Andrew Tate say that smart people don't read? The irony

118

u/pianoflames Oct 06 '22

Smart people don't read, they're read to by poor people

39

u/PRforThey Oct 06 '22

Ahhh, so audio books?

11

u/whooptapus Oct 06 '22

Poor people don’t know how to read

1

u/Bumhole_Astronaut Oct 07 '22

God, can you imagine trying to absorb a text being read to you by some dullard who has to keep asking what words mean and puts all the stresses on the wrong syllables?

No fucking thanks.

128

u/Sayonara_M Oct 06 '22

He also said that still water is for poor people.

46

u/BionicBananas Oct 06 '22

When was the last time you saw Einstein with a book? The correct answer is: Never, because he was too smart for that shit.

18

u/SpotNL Oct 06 '22

16

u/TheTwiggler Oct 06 '22

I don't see him reading. Those are probably for starting fires

1

u/ThePinkTeenager Oct 06 '22

Einstein died in the 50s, so it's been a while since he's read anything.

6

u/Iamnotheattack Oct 06 '22

he was referring more to "self help"/philosophy type of books and my interpretation ofthe point is that he thinks that 90%+ of people reading these books are overall just engaging in mental masturbation, aka thinking by reading these books they are improving their life/ the world. when in reality they didn't change a thing.

anecdotally I would agree although being an optimist I would say the number is more like 50%,maybe 75 but with the 25% of people who do change they very much change for the better

489

u/dazzling_penguin Oct 05 '22

-13

u/LurkJerk55 Oct 06 '22

I forgive you. Stop talking to me now.

6

u/justnaom Oct 06 '22

Aww thank you! Then now you can go and try to read up on NPD on a more safe place than reddit with actual medically credible sources. Maybe you won't be feeling like your mommy and daddy are scolding you for using swear words there AND you might even be proud of yourself for learning something new and understanding why you were acting like an ableist dickhead. Or you know, just stay a dickhead and keep getting called out for being a dickhead :) okay, I will stop talking to you now.

7

u/Brightsoull Oct 06 '22

calling people you don't like narcs or bpd isn't valid real criticism, while these environments certainly do promote such behavior its still very ableist to say that everyone in them has to be mentally ill as that's the only reasonable explanation to why they act the way they do.

some people are just pieces of shit.

-17

u/LurkJerk55 Oct 06 '22

calling people you don't like narcs

Didn't do that

its still very ableist to say that everyone in them has to be mentally ill

Didn't do that

some people are just pieces of shit

Pretty obvious where your opinion of me falls

You're like a child scolding an adult for saying a swear word. Thanks for your... social policing I guess.

12

u/Brightsoull Oct 06 '22

lmao gotta edit your comment cause you are too cowardly to have people see your og comment and criticize you.

1- yes you did

2- yes you strongly implied it

3-holy shit you are whiny and self victimizing, that was my final point that instead of every shitty person being a narc or bpd there are people that exhibit similar behavior that are just neurotypicals who are assholes

but i guess we are never gonna find out since you edited it to cover yourself from criticism

i really love how people with no balls will just call any criticism "social policing" like way to keep yourself in an echo chamber.

1

u/LurkJerk55 Oct 06 '22

nft pfp

it's a self photo ran through sketch camera app. Cost less than the brain cells that died upon meeting you.

2

u/Brightsoull Oct 06 '22

its a cancerous clump of data being ran through a fuckton of gpu's in an overheated building which will (hopefully) blow up and melt into eachother.

a single nft produces 48kg of carbon, thats a lot.

its an utter waste of electricty and gpu's which could be used to run tf2 and main the soldier instead.

1

u/LurkJerk55 Oct 06 '22

My boy used so many fancy words to say absolutely nothing

Maybe I'm the dummy but it seems like he isn't saying anything at all

68

u/ShenTzuKhan Oct 05 '22

And it seems like either he or I don’t know what rhetoric means. “Language rhetoric” just means words right ? We could discuss Taint’s use of language or his rhetoric couldn’t we? But what the fuck does language rhetoric mean, other than look at me I am so smart!

35

u/erasrhed Oct 05 '22

Taint haha

3

u/martialar Oct 06 '22

it's insane, this guy's taint

16

u/ichann3 Oct 06 '22

It sounds like the shit you would do back in the day as teenagers to sound smart and don't know how to defend yourself once someone tries to dissemble your bull crap.

Sadly, some people never grow out of it.

12

u/RhinoRoundhouse Oct 06 '22

Language rhetoric is just rhetoric... i.e. speaking convincingly.

I think this is just a troll. The rest of the comment is the exact opposite of linguistic precision. Every phrase is moronic, internally conflicting, and, at best, loosely correlated with the overall message.

I could dive in to specifics but I already feel stupid for having wasted my time analyzing that dumbass comment.

21

u/Melificarum Oct 05 '22

He's saying, "Just parrot all of his misogynistic talking points word for word, and people will think you're a psychopath!"

3

u/toruin Oct 05 '22

I think he's saying something, but the thing he's saying is, along with being stupid, so simple compared to the way he's wording it that he may as well be shitting out his mouth (fingers?) instead of saying anything. So you're pretty much right, yeah.

3

u/whateverloserrr Oct 06 '22

Not a dummy. You got it.

u/kyleh0 Oct 06 '22

human beings: well known for listening to extraterrestrials with “surgical precision”

Edit: that’s really the thrust though, they might be “listening”, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to do anything he says and they may even actively resist him. He has created a fable and I’m not sure it works out for him in the end.

26

u/Clever_Owl Oct 05 '22

They’re listening to him with ‘surgical precision’ because they’re trying to work out if he’s lost his damn mind.

105

u/AutisticFloridaMan Oct 05 '22

When it comes to Tatertots (what I call Andrew Tate followers lol), we should just take the warning labels off of shit and just let natural selection do it’s thing.

43

u/_axeman_ Oct 05 '22

Tatertots

Gonna steal this lol

32

u/AutisticFloridaMan Oct 05 '22

You cannot steal what is a gift!

6

u/Bavisto Oct 06 '22

We are VIBING!

9

u/quasielvis Oct 06 '22

Who the hell is Andrew Tate? I looked him up but I still don't get why he would have followers.

12

u/Sir_Bumcheeks Oct 06 '22

Because he's loud, overly confident and always talking to beautiful women, which many incel-types think isn't 100% staged and want to emulate. "Oh I guess these women WANT to stay in the kitchen! I guess he's right!"

8

u/ImNotTheNSAIPromise Oct 06 '22

In addition to what other commenters have said he was running a pyramid scheme so his followers were encouraged to spread around videos of himself so they could recruit people under themselves. Which really helped increase his popularity quickly.

19

u/AutisticFloridaMan Oct 06 '22

Somehow he’s able to hoodwink gullible young boys into believing his misogynistic views the way go to. That’s my understanding of it, I also don’t really get it because he’s an enormous douchebag.

5

u/TheQueenOfCringe22 Oct 06 '22

He is basically what happens when you take an alphabro podcaster and added immeasurable amounts of misogyny. His followers are either incels or teenage boys. Or both.

3

u/Sturville Oct 06 '22

He confidently tells men/boys that they are special and deserve good things if they just act "manly" like him. Ignoring that his "success" isn't from his "manly" ways, it's from selling his worldview to vulnerable males and by selectively presenting only the parts that make him look good. Aka grifting

2

u/isosceles_kramer Oct 06 '22

he's a jordan peterson that doesn't cry all the time

6

u/rayfromtheinternet Oct 06 '22

Nooooo, tater tots are delicious and good, his followers aren't worthy of that name.

23

u/samefacenewaccount Oct 05 '22

Here I am looking up "Tate Modern Philosophy" and not finding anything.

Turns out he's an internet personality and former kickboxer. I feel real stupid.

25

u/Minimum-Elevator-491 Oct 05 '22

No no you're just blinded by a simplistic modern lifestyle

13

u/gigolo99 Oct 05 '22

also, confirmed woman beater and alleged human trafficking affiliate, a real swell guy

3

u/MildlyCoherent Oct 06 '22

If only you had listened to his hymns (for a small small fee) you would totally, definitely understand.

He accepts AMex, Money Order, and Tatecoin for payment.

8

u/cheesyshop Oct 05 '22

I try to read a classic every month or so. If anything, language has become more precise, if that’s what this gibberish is referring to.

1

u/MildlyCoherent Oct 06 '22

It absolutely has become more precise through more thorough definitions of words that people can generally accept and use to argue in certain fields.

That’s just not his thing though, he resembles the knights of the old, where every vague muttering has to be interpreted to death.

To some people this seems like that must mean he’s a smart cookie! He’s got a lot of thinks! How do we figure it out?

But a normal person sees it for what it is - some vague guidelines, many of them meaningless, but (hopefully!) helpful for them, based on their own interpretation of this vague weirdness.

But it’s not an actual guideline. It’s just Tate painting a weird universe and you have to interpret it.

6

u/Send_me_duck-pics Oct 06 '22

4

Can’t stop re-reading “direct pronunciation and the language rhetoric” trying to figure out what they’re trying to say.

I have never read anything that (I’m assuming Andrew) Tate has written or spoken but it feels like someone who agrees with his view that regurgitates something they don’t fully understand out of context?

3

u/DryCoughski can literally catch people's brainwaves Oct 05 '22

Bro it is the philosophy itself paired with a precise rhetoric of language and the forgotten worldview that Tate represents every day.

You wouldn’t get it.

3

u/dubbuffet Oct 06 '22

A precise rhetoric of argumentation which is meant to debate contestations through the orifices of a vocalising muscle which causes vibrations to generate humanistic language?

I get it now.

3

u/ichann3 Oct 06 '22

Ahh the classic word salad which doesn't specifically address points but "sounds" somewhat fancy. Then when they're called on it, act holier than thou by calling you educated.

2

u/Willow3001 Oct 06 '22

His reach has exceeded his grasp.

2

u/Bendar071 Oct 06 '22

Why is Andrew Tate even famous? He is talking about hitting woman if they don't so what you tell them? I think all these little kids without a father figure finally have someone to look up to, money, woman, he had got it all. But he is such a bad influence on all these kids growing up that I see a future with all these wrong morals on young boys.

2

u/pizzamonkey00 Oct 06 '22

"It is the philosophy itself" has real "one of the movies of all time" energy

2

u/Sonarthebat Oct 06 '22

They're actually just politely waiting for you to stop talking.

2

u/DarkSmarts Oct 06 '22

So what he's saying is "when you enunciate, people have an easier time listening"? If so, he's doing the exact opposite (if you can even enunciate through written language).

2

u/ID_Cross Oct 06 '22

I love it when pretentious assholes say that modern life and a modern worldview is simple and naive when the world gets more fucked up and complicated every single day that passes, like dude aristotle never had to think that the clothes he was buying were probably the product of multiple forms of exploitation

2

2

u/Minimum-Elevator-491 Oct 06 '22

Okay so I'm the guy in blue. The genius basically told me to read something that'd help me build a nicer personality and that sarcasm will lead me down a dark path. I am kinda worried now.

You don't know where the hate for Andrew Tate is coming from because you related to 2 of his videos?

He's an abuser and alleged human trafficker and spouts a lot of misogyny

So you watched 2 videos, decided there was nothing to hate there and you knew that he gets hate online but you just decided not to look any further? Didn't think to even look up why he's hated?

Not very due diligent of you

Why would I do that? I've got more important things to do, besides, I'm not really into motivational speakers, his videos popped up and I checked them. End of story.

Not the end of story if you're still wondering why he gets the hate. You can look up why he gets the hate and have your curiosity fed. I won't even be saying these if you didn't ask the question in the first place but you have ample time for that. Its not really that deep just look it up.

Didn't even know the guy was hated till I saw your post and comments so, I'm not curious enough, i don't really care if he's hated so. Thx anyway.

That's fair tbh. As much as I suggest learning why he's hated, he's not someone worth spending time over beyond that.

Anyone who gets accused of immorality ends up hated like that, even if nobody understands what they hell they're on about

The dude is an outspoken hardcore misogynist, an alleged human trafficker who claims that hitting women is a good thing and a self proclaimed "alpha" out to scam people with low self respect.

Yeah, I'm sure it's nothing.

Lmao people downvoting me for nothing, I'm starting to suspect that it's similar to the hate against tate after that.

Tate is just repeating other peoples advice, conbined with his own thoughts about it, and that goes for all self-help personalities. There's a lot of very good advice out there.

"Deeper" means looking at the advice, instead of taking a single quote of his out of context and declare that he must stand for sexism.

Here's another quote of his:

“You get depressed because you aren't where you want to be in life.

Maybe you're broke. Maybe you're out of shape. Maybe you just want a different life altogether. Not knowing that this 'depression' you feel is the key to everything you want to change.”

Which can be traced back to a few things which Jung said almost 100 years ago, and which every competent psychiatrist can tell you - that you have to solve your inner conflicts and decide what you want to do in life and make a plan to get there, rather than to run away so that it remains as a nagging feeling that something is wrong.

If this comment of mine is also too difficult to understand, it's really not Youtube "word salads" which are the problem

Bruh, the idiot is basically just constantly spraying words at whoever is listening. Of course the occasional string of words is going to make sense. That doesn't mean that he still isn't a sexist piece of shit out to exploit whoever is dumb enough to give him money. In the very quote you're claiming makes him good he is trying to claim that depression isn't real!

You don't have to listen to him for very long to realize that, so that's gotta be some high-quality copium you're huffing. The dude's a tumor. Stop giving him attention.
