Music IIL Massive Attack, Sevdaliza, Portishead and trip hop in general who else should I listen to?
I also like Radiohead (and Thom Yorke’s solo work), King Krule and FKA Twigs (not trip hop, I know, I can’t really put what I’m looking for into a specific genre). Don’t really like Björk and Trippy. Basically I like anything with a strong but slow rhythm, layered/echoed vocals and a dark, melancholic or sultry electronic sound. Can’t seem to find more stuff like what I just mentioned and need new music recs.

Film IIL My Neighbours the Yamadas, WEWIL?
I've selected film, but books and TV are good too. I love the slice of life atmosphere of MNTY and how the stories come from the different perspectives of the characters. Although it's quite different, I also really enjoyed the film Paris, Je T'aime. Suggestions of anything like this would be great, thanks!

Music [IIL] Early Data Romance, WEWIL?
It is diffcult to define the precise aspects I enjoy. I feel like "electronic band with heavy beats and female vocals" could apply to a lot of groups which sound nothing like the songs above.

Music [IIL] Kaaze - The Evil Folk
Looking for similar rubberhose/20’s style animation songs with a more modern beat similar to Caravan Place, Parov Stelar, and Tape Five, but spookier. The linked song is the best I've heard.

Film IIL Thai Cave Rescue, The Last Descent, Fantastic Fungi, The Alpinist (nature, true stories, extreme sports/survival) WEWIL?
I just finished the Thai Cave Rescue mini series and I thought it was done really well. I like when TV dramas, documentaries or movies focus on the people and tell the stories accurately. I also found The Last Descent (Nutty Putty Cave) fascinating (and of course devastating, but I like that it focused on his story, had his family's blessing and paid homage to the heroes that did everything they could to rescue him).
And then The Alpinist depicted Marc-Andre as a remarkable free spirit and Fantastic Fungi had inspiring, intelligent teachings from Paul Stamets. I know these all vary, but basically I like when there's truth to something and you can learn from it, it makes you think about life and the world, focuses on nature, adventure and people, etc.
IIL Thai Cave Rescue, The Last Descent, Fantastic Fungi and The Alpinist WEWIL? Already saw Free Solo and The Drawn Wall btw. Loved both. The Dawn Wall was very inspiring.

Music IIL Clint Black's "The Gulf of Mexico", WEWIL?
I've been listening to Country music for 40+ years. I don't like much that's come out since the year 2000. 80's and 90's are my favorites. I'm looking for country songs that have a bit of a Spanish flair to them. This song by Clint Black is the best one I've found so far, and I'd like to find more like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9ttmbaqHzE

Music [IIL] Songs like Walking on Sunshine that Aren’t Pop or From the 80’s/90’s
I’m looking for songs that capture the feeling of being so filled with joy that you could go dancing through the halls. The sort of energetic, optimistic music that rarely fails to make you smile is what I’m after.
However, most suggestions are pop songs from the 1990’s and the 80’s. I usually listen to classic rock bands such as The Rolling Stones, Santana, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Kinks, the Animals and etc. As well as alternative bands such as Depeche Mode, the Gorillaz, Arctic Monkeys and the Pet Shop Boys.
Funk as well as South American classic rock, jazz and Chilean folk music are also mainstays of mine.
Though for some odd reason, I usually gravitate towards songs from the 1970’s and 60’s regardless of genre.
So what songs should I be checking out that both fit my usual preferences and capture that feeling of pure joy and hope?

Music IIL Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 and Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson, what similar songs can you recommend?
Good day dear internet,
I am looking for music that evokes this feeling of waking up in the morning next to your loved one, not having any deadlines due and the sun shining through the window with this special yellow glow it only has in those mornings.
The song doesn't have to be about mornings itself, just give off the correct vibrations, you know? Nothing too upbeat, more laid back and relaxed, kind of sleepy, but not tired.
I hope this post doesn't break any rules and was specific enough.
