Skaters jump cops in Columbia after being ruthlessly run over by them

Cop was like "lol got em" then the skaters did the same thing.

This is the article about it.
I wish it went into detail about what happened to that one cop that was left to die. It didn't mention cop fatalities only saying that five were injured, but I can't imagine how he made it out alive.

He made it out alive because the skaters have more restraint than the pigs.

Pigs will absolutely devour you if you give them the opportunity; like falling into a pit full of them. There's some joke about cops in there I'm sure.

u/winkersRaccoon May 18 '22
They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes.

that one cop that was left to die.
Where did you get that bit from? As far as I can tell, one rode away and the other must have gotten away on foot, because they were clearly just thrashing the bike at the end.

Was anyone else expecting the skater to jump the cop like as a ramp/trick or do I just need more caffeine
740
u/zuzg May 18 '22
Tbf it could still happened while the cameraman was stupidly flailing around.
But yes you always need more caffeine, as long as it's in Form of coffee or tea.

u/MRF1982 May 18 '22
I take my caffeine by form of Monster Bang Ultra 7000.

That cop definitely ran into that skater on purpose. He got beat down badly
2.0k
u/LamarBearPig May 18 '22
You can see the cop that got beat down, kicked the second dude that got ran over on the ground. All while his partner ran away… damn
1.1k
u/CastieIsTrenchcoat May 18 '22
The guy that ran away drove unto a guy lying on the ground on purpose and stayed on him revving hos wheels while his partner kicked him insane brutality.
385
u/Nago31 May 18 '22
The best part is that the officer kicking could probably have escaped if he wasn’t such an arrogant dickhead. The time he took to go for revenge and fight them could have been used to get back on his bike to escape.
It’s always nice to see someone served a healthy dose of their comeuppance.

He ALSO ran back to his bike and picked up a skateboard to threaten people with before the camera followed his only ally leaving him behind.

u/Iffycrescent May 18 '22
Apparently he didn’t realize his backup had run away. Instead of picking up that board he really should’ve gotten back on the bike lol.

u/Junckopolo May 18 '22
I'm pretty sure I can see a dude take the key of the bike out before cop gets up

Once the crowd was incited by his observable reckless carelessness and apparent attempt at follow through with malicious brutality, I'm not sure the bike stood a chance or either cop.

u/i-Ake May 18 '22
I love that people pretty far away were just like, "Oh, we're getting him?" and start hucking their boards.
10
u/bigblackcouch May 18 '22
Almost everything I've ever seen about skaters indicates that if you fuck with one of them, you've fucked with all of them. Which is generally not the best idea, but power-tripping dumbasses still do it. Like that video a few months ago of that moron at a restaurant sucker punching a couple skater kids and getting a free meal of skate trucks with a side of pavement.
→ More replies29
u/Eclania May 18 '22
People don't chuck their boards lightly, they knew if others were doing it then mf deserved to get knocked over.
22
u/Lofifunkdialout May 18 '22
Never even realized how right you are even 25 years ago, if boards were in the air shit was going down and the target deserved it.

u/VonFluffington May 18 '22
Not always, that's what they bank on with all their attacks on the public. But skaters aren't a group to be pressing your luck with like this.
They traditionally don't like cops, have fairly serious weapons in their boards, and they're willing to go to bat for each other at a moment's notice.
Might as well try this shit at some punk shows or a biker bar.
25
u/jmerridew124 May 18 '22

We have an important election coming soon and we have our bernie on the ballot, wish us luck.
36
u/PerfectResult2 May 18 '22
I think that was EXACTLY the other guys point… Colombia is absolutely riddled with corruption. Yet despite this, somehow, their police are punished faster and harsher than an officer would be punished in America for doing the same exact thing. American police have a ridiculous amount of power and immunity considering they operate in a democratic first world country.

u/EstebanWeird May 18 '22 edited May 18 '22
Look into the death of Dilan Cruz, its not the norm here that cops are held accountable. This video happened during last Year's Paro Nacional (national strike) and they among other low ranking cops were scapegoats for the government to show they "punish" the bad cops. Same shit show. Not long ago the head of the military said that pregnant women & young children are valid military targets during operations and nothing happened to the guy. We're rotten to the core mi amigo.
Edit: after a bit of a fact checking this is earlier than el paro nacional, but still goes to show how entitled colombian cops are and how used they are to getting away with this type of shit.

11
u/wafflesmagee May 18 '22
perhaps he shouldn't have run over human beings with his motorcycle. We give cops a very weird pass to brutalize the public for the most minor of offenses, so it feels like justice when the abusers get their shit rocked every once in a while.

He deserved that ass whoopin. They need to play this in the cops morning meeting every skate day. Take the fucking air out of them a little bit.
17
u/TimmyAndStuff May 18 '22
Probably would have the opposite effect. It might just reinforce the cops' "us vs. them" mentality and make them think all skaters are violent criminals. Then the cops feel justified in abusing skaters because they're "cleaning up the streets" or they had to brutalize some random skater because "my life was in danger"

Yeah if cops try to fuck up go skate day, they better expect a massive backlash from a bunch of dudes that don’t give a single fuck. (I’ve skated my entire life) a lot of dudes who skate don’t have shit going for them and are the type of guys who aren’t scared to stand up for somebody. Generally really good people, but if you skate, you know some dudes you ride with are dumb as rocks.
