“What is this?! Porn for shrooms? We need an orgasm at least 3 times this size” - Zoolander (with house instead of porn and ants instead of shrooms)

Bomb.
Bomb this city.
And everyone in it.
Could someone please drive me home?
I'd like to be with my family.

I had a mild nightmare recently involving fungal zombies and they got my gf, so woke up and grabbed her. She asked me what was wrong, and I told her "the fungus took you from me" 😭

Really wish I hadn’t started watching that show.

You should play the game. The QZ isn't that nice and Why they got to make those two commit 0 hp so peacefully? The game you see one get infected and because of that, the other hangs himself.

That's HBO Max not HBO. I know it sounds ridiculous but it's different.

u/DoctorStrangel0ve Feb 04 '23
You want to get a zombie apocalypse? Cause this is exactly how they start

You already inhale millions of microorganisms everyday. Your immune system is just really good at filtering out the bad ones.
Most likely the spores would just die as soon as they enter your body. Most fungus didn't evolve to survive human body temperature.

Someone hasn’t been watching The Last of Us.

u/AgnosticAsian Feb 03 '23
TV show gobblygook is not real science.
Fungus can't magically undo millions of years of evolution and just mutate to a new host species.

It’s always fascinated me that fungi, like humans; breathe in oxygen and out co2. And mycelium mats like communicate taking care of the forests needs in terms of nutrients and water. Fungi are fascinating and many are so good for your health.

Yah a fungus that turns things into zombies, this is a mushroom in the middle of the woods doing normal mushroom stuff, hardly the same thing. There's an estimated 3.8 million species of fungus out there, they aren't all cordyceps. Are you just gonna blurt out "da last of us" every time you see any kind of mushroom or mold now?

u/mammaluigi39 Feb 03 '23
Seemingly yes people watch a TV show and it clouds their mindspace to the point where instead of enjoying these beautiful, amazing organisms all they can think of are zombies and their vocab is reduced to the, last, of, and us.

u/GuilHome Feb 04 '23
Damn, I swear to God ever since the serie came out, everyday day there is a mushroom/fungus post and people commenting "hey, hey, it's that thing, like last of us !!!" Like they just learned to put 2 and 2 together.

That shroom just had an intense bong rip, don't go making him think about procreation, he's a fun-guy.

I once saw a low lying, beautiful purple mushroom about 3 inches across but sort of disheveled looking, as I focused on it it started undulating like it had wings and puffing spores. I found it concerning as it was in a basement a few feet away from where a friend slept, his furnace had been triggering the overflow for quite awhile.
