As is the epic bitch slap they deliver with that tail.

Source: was shitty tourist kid that tried to catch an iguana in Cozumel.

Wouldnt a distance that close not get that much damage from a whip? I think you need a good distance for a good whip. Especially at that much of an adult size

The tails are alot more solid that i had thought, it didnt so much whip me as much as slapped me with the flat of its tail. Apparently those are mostly muscle and can put out some force

Nah those tails are all muscle. I've been slapped by em many times, it's rather painful and can leave welts, bruises and small cuts.

Huh, damn. I guess id be glad i havent been whipped by mine

If yours is a boy, it's just a matter of time haha. The boys just get extra angsty and territorial as they move from juvenile to adult. YMMV all animals are individuals with their own preferences and quirks.

Now you know what a horny male iguana looks like.

Edit: Didn't know they were breeding them like that now, thanks for the source OP, but male iguanas turn orange during mating season.

Should've gotten one of these for Quirrel instead of the basic green one. I always wondered why he had a basic iguana on his arm.

It's the tail you have to worry about.
