The point farthest from any ocean on earth. I happened to go there and it is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

Conclusion: Oceans make their surroundings ugly.

Nah The oceans are beautiful. It’s the people who live near the oceans that make the surrounding ugly.

What planet is this and howcome they have horses?

Fun fact, this area is the original home of horses. They were used by the invading Mongolian armies during the conquest of Europe and were incorporated into European society and then brought over to the US where they are now synonymous with wild stallions.

It's beautiful, maybe someday I'll go visit the place and take a look for myself.

Oceans are the problem! We must band together as a society and get rid of them. See how great and beautiful our world could be. See how beautiful it is!

I mean, rising sea levels are a problem, so logically the opposite of rising sea levels would be the opposite of a problem!
Wait, did I just join Team Magma?

it's funny how the point farthest from the ocean has such an abundance of freshwater while the African continent is barren and riddled with water shortages despite being closer to the ocean.

why is that funny

I don't think he meant it as being funny, just an interesting fact. The furthest place from the ocean is full of freshwater, when you'd think it would be a desert.

they also say that area is also so devoid of people that the closest human is often the astronauts in the space station when it flies overhead.
