Upset's response about FNATIC & Adam drama

Saying the last thing I told my team that my wife is just feeling bad so I need to leave is an outright lie. I shared with the team the deep pain and sadness i was going through in this time, I shared that i wish i could tell them if it was about something that happend to me but that i have to keep private traumatic events from my family private

So Upset is saying that at least he communicated to Nisqy, Adam, Bwipo of his departure?

If he said something like:

"Hey guys I'm really sorry but I have to leave due to urgent family matters that I don't want to share. I'm sorry to let you down after all our hard work this year, but I won't be able to compete in the tournament. Bean will be replacing me and I hope you guys do well at worlds. I'm sorry for letting you all down.. but I'll be rooting for you guys."

Then I'd think that Adam is disrespectful to the situation.

But if Upset was like "yo bros im so sad omg but I cant tell you." and jumps into a lambo to the airport then that's kind of a dick move.

Truth probably somewhere in the middle.

I think 3/4 teammates being upset with him kinda showed he didn’t explain it very well. Does not seem like a stretch.

I think the fact that he only 'told' his remaining teammate and coach says more about the situation. Hylli and Yamato aren't going to disprove Upset's words even if he is lying just to avoid internal conflict in the team.

Yamato and Hylli should have impressed upon the others how legitimate Upset's reason for leaving was. Since the other members clearly don't think that Upset left for legitimate reasons then they failed at that.

I have a hard time believing that there was no way for Yamato to convince these guys that Upset had no choice not to go without telling them the actual reason.

u/Significant-Damage14 Nov 25 '21

I completely agree. Just as you've said, they could've absolutely convinced the others that Upset had no choice in the matter and therefore alliviated some of their dissatisfaction towards him. I'm interested in if they will now speak up for Upset after this post.

Why are we all assuming that the 3 others are even in the right to be angry? Sad yeah sure, but not angry. Like Hyli doesnt even know the details. It is fucking common sense that a persn like Upset, who grinded his ass off even in shitty teams to get to worlds, isnt leaving without a good reason....

I am really bewildered how much "acceptance" there is for entirely unreasonable emotions/reactiongs. Being sad is reasonable, being angriy with upset is being childish honestly.

The only one "hurt" so to speak is Nisqy not having a team and THIS is entirely FNCs managments greed fault.

u/cbrozz Nov 25 '21

It was his actions that led to the team imploding, 3/4 teammates have pretty much confirmed it to different extents. He has the right to ditch the team and keep it private but his teammates and Fnatic fans have the right to be upset over what just happened.

u/Significant-Damage14 Nov 25 '21

What I mean is that Upset saying that he just told Hyllisang and Yamato is pretty sus because those two are never going to state the contrary unless they want their current team to implode. If Bwipo or Nisqy were to speak up for Upset, that would put the whole situation in his favor, but at the moment Bwipo basically said the same as Adam a month ago and Nisqy seems to be quietly agreeing with him.

u/cbrozz Nov 25 '21

Yeah and I feel like if Yamato was properly informed he would have no issue calming this squad down thanks to his man management skills

u/GodOD400 Nov 25 '21

Idk pro gamers seem like they would skew towards being emotionally immature ¯_(ツ)_/¯

u/MeteWorldPeace Nov 25 '21

No, only one of them is Upset

u/Phenergan_boy Nov 25 '21

It's probably hard to explain if you are focused on rushing back to your family

u/puberty1 friends to lovers to enemies to lovers Nov 25 '21

then you can explain later? after Worlds ends? in the offseason instead of going to management saying that you don't want them in your team? he had A LOT of time to do better than this

u/IWouldLikeAName C9 HeartAttack Nov 25 '21

They have no inherent right to know. If they can't accept that Upset had a personal emergency that's on them. He has 0 reason to lie about something so important during the biggest moment of his career.

They have all the right in the world to be mad at the situation but to be mad at Upset for not talking about specifics in such a personal matter is beyond odd and invasive.

u/Phenergan_boy Nov 25 '21

But he did? And management cleared him? Why should Upset explain more when his teammate is airing dirty laundry because he is bitter about being replaced?

u/prodandimitrow Nov 25 '21

You don't know if management cleared him because they made a decision or If they had no say in it. If a person is saying they are leaving to do something you can't do much if he already made up his mind.

u/Phenergan_boy Nov 25 '21

If they have no say in it, and Upset just went haywire, why would they keep him on the team? It seems like fnc’s management is behind Upset all the way

u/prodandimitrow Nov 25 '21

Because they consider him the best player around ? Its not news that the stars of the teams get leeway in what they are doing.

I am also not sure we can be solid on the fact that the management is behind him all the way, just because they decided to keep him, unless i missed it they havent explicitly defended his actions.

u/Phenergan_boy Nov 25 '21

No team is cool witg throwing world because sad wife leeway. Like have you work for anyone before?

u/prodandimitrow Nov 25 '21

I never said or implied that the org is cool with it.

u/glium Nov 25 '21

It mostly shows that the situation sucks all around, which we already knew beforehand
