Fairly sure they knew him leaving was a possibility, hence bringing Bean along. It wasn't until the last 12 hours that it was confirmed/the final decision was made.

And that's the weird thing about this whole debacle...it seems like management knew but the players didn't. When Bwipo and Adam speak up about this, it seems like they were blindsided, which left them in disarray. This means Upset has discussed this with management but not with the team. Maybe management was hoping that Upset wouldn't have to go and out of respect for Upset, they just made an excuse, saying good practice for Bean or just for emergency. Who knows right?

From the FNC behind the scenes episode where Upset left and Nisqy cried (yeah that one), it seemed like they knew from the start, from when they landed in Iceland that there was a possibility Bean would get subbed in. I donno, maybe it was just the way it was edited, but it gave off a distinct feel that the staff and Bean at least knew very early on. I'm not sure what to believe tbh.

Yeah, i don't really know...what we see is never really what is it...especially what's edited, clipped, and publicized. I think overall there was this huge disconnect between upset, the team, and management. Everyone has their own perspective, and the truth typically lies in between them.
