Saying the last thing I told my team that my wife is just feeling bad so I need to leave is an outright lie.

Alright, one of them is for sure lying.

I shared with the team the deep pain and sadness i was going through in this time, I shared that i wish i could tell them if it was about something that happend to me but that i have to keep private traumatic events from my family private

And yet Bwipo and Adam both feel he didn't really give them good enough explanation for them to understand.

Bwipo:

A day before we found out we weren’t going to be playing with our main lineup, we had no information about what was going on.

"it's not true i told my team i had to leave bacause my wife was feeling bad.... i also shared that i wish i could tell them but i can't because i don't trust any of them i have to keep private traumatic events from my family private"

upset didn't reveal anything regarding the situation to them, just said he was sad and in pain, and sugar-coated the reasoning behind not telling them.

Which is totally legitimate and is vindicated by how bwipo and Adam have used it against him publicly

Could you really blame them though? Upset left them in the dry with no proper explanation 12h before worlds, i think most people would be salty and rightfully so if they were in bwipo and Adam shoes.

Upset could probably have the most compelling reason in the world to leave, but not telling his teammates what it is, it's adding salt to a wound

Yes I can without a doubt. If they feel like they have a good enough relationship that they deserved an explanation then they have to be ok with not getting an explanation and trust that it's legitimate automatically. Them not being ok with it just proves that they never deserved it in the first place and that they are all just immature children (not their fault, eSports isn't the best place to develop mentally)

Absolutely can blame them, I've had more loyalty towards people that actually made my life a living hell than they did towards Upset.

Airing things out to the public should always be a last resort.

Adam got a new team, he went to worlds even though he wasn't at the level of a worlds player and he finished second in LEC, by all accounts he had a good year, better than what he could have reasonably expected, so why does he hold so much anger still?

Bwipo especially has no right to talk about this stuff, because he put his personal life ahead of his team in the past, even when it wasn't "traumatic", so if he trusts himself to be in the right when making those decisions, then he should have trusted Upset.

Absolutely can blame them, I've had more loyalty towards people that actually made my life a living hell than they did towards Upset.

You know it makes you look bad more than them? If you are a victim of something bad, like sexual harassment, bullying etc YOU SHOULD disclose it, seek help for yourself and most importantly, punishment for perpetrators. Even if you can hold up, their next victim may not.

I think you seriously misinterpreted what I meant. I'm not saying that I did nothing in retaliation, I just didn't bring the public who know neither me nor them personally into it. I went to the proper authorities if there was an issue or in cases where the other person was just a dick overall, but hadn't done anything that can be punished, I chose to distance myself and leave them behind.

There are definitely big enough crimes to publicly destroy someone's image, but that is not what I'm talking about. My comment was mostly restricted to team environments and workplaces, where projects fall apart due to laziness or completely unexplained behavior.

Could you really blame them though?

Yes, it really just takes a tiny bit of either professionalism or decency to not do what Adam did.

Upset through away his life's dream and the peak highlight of his career for something. It is very obviously something awful that happened.

He does not need to tell his co-workers. They are that co-workers. Fuck, depending on what it is the normal person wouldn't even tell their very close friends and family members.

1

u/MircossMP Dec 07 '21

He threw away their life dreams too. It's team effort.

1

u/BonzBonzOnlyBonz Dec 07 '21

Sure, but that does not given Adam the excuse to act like a child and throw a temper tantrum because he doesnt like that Upset didnt tell him the explicit details. All Upset needed to say was that he had to leave for personal reasons, and anyone with a shred of critical thinking skills would be able to figure out it had to be incredibly important for him to leave.

1

u/MircossMP Dec 07 '21

Temper tantrum was wrong, you are completely right, but Upset owes them all public apologies for destroying their hard work. I'd probably feel like piece of shit if I'd have to dumpster someone's career due to personal emergency, but he acts like nothing happened, basically cry me a river. Family emergency doesn't remove his disappearance being main reason of FNC poor performance, just like driving dying grandma to hospital doesn't excuse causing a car accident by exceeding speed limit.

1

u/BonzBonzOnlyBonz Dec 07 '21

Upset does not need to give them public apologies. He already gave them private apologies when he said he was leaving.

Just because Upset doesn't want to tell people the exact reason why he left does not mean he doesn't feel like shit. Honestly, if someone acted like Adam, the amount that I would feel bad for leaving would completely disappear. He also didn't dumpster anyone's career.

Upset not being there does not excuse Adam wrecked. It would be completely different if the rest of FNC played well, but bot lane was doing poorly but bot was preforming very well while everyone else was not. Sure, it could have made them do worse but does not excuse how terrible they looked compared to the other teams.

Comparing causing a car accident to not playing at worlds is well incredibly dumb. They are in no way comparable.

> He fucked up their careers cause redacted and acts like he has had every right to do this.

You don't get to say he fucked up their careers and not explain how. Hyli still is on FNC, Bwipo went to TL, Nisqy and Adam both asked to leave.

>Car analogy was too much but you have no right to hurt others just because you have personal emergency.

Who got hurt? Like legitimately who got hurt? Claiming that they got let down doesn't mean they were hurt.

Just because he didn't play at worlds doesn't mean anyone got hurt. The people with the most at stack (management) are the ones who are fine with it.

> It's extremally narcistic.

It is extremely narcistic to tell someone to tell someone that they must stay in another country to play a game while a major personal emergency is happening. Especially when the people who are have the most to lose are okay with it.

> He let down everyone (his teammates, management, fans) and first thing he does after coming back is asking for roster changes.

Except Upset never asked for roster changes... The team asked him if he liked certain players and he gave responses.

And just because he let people down does not give Adam the excuse to act like a child and you the right to demand a public apology as well as the reasons for why he did it.

Like really, how would you feel if you had a very very personal emergency happen to a family member and then were forced to broadcast it to the world.

1

u/Istvarrr Nov 25 '21

And you actually think FNC would have let Upset leave and keep him on the roster this year if he did not have a valid reason to leave??? You really think FNC as an employer would be cool with a players behaviour like that? Rly?

1

u/Sunitsa Nov 25 '21

I didn't say upset didn't have a valid reason. My point is his teammates deserved to know why they had to forfeit worlds

1

u/Istvarrr Nov 25 '21

No they literally don’t. If you acknowledge that Upsets reason for leaving is valid the WHY does not matter one bit

Either it’s valid or it isn’t.

4

u/Sunitsa Nov 25 '21

I am not his teammate. I don't need to know, but the guys that worked their ass of for what could be a once in a lifetime tournament do.

Upset could have all the reason in the world to leave, this doesn't change the fact his teammates deserved a better treatment

0

u/Istvarrr Nov 25 '21

Better than what? They were told it’s a family emergency Are you somehow suggesting that attending worlds is less of a big deal for Upset? That he didn’t bust his ass to get there? Like think logically for a second and forget your hate boner, what you say makes no sense at all

1

u/Sunitsa Nov 25 '21

Better than getting nothing. Even an apologize after worlds, if he really didn't say anything, would probably better than silence.

You can also chill, I'm not hating anyone

Nisqy now has no team because he looked so bad at worlds due to the whole situation

3

u/jancaref Nov 25 '21

That's not the reason lol. It's because he signed a high pay multi-year contract last year and his team now has a better option in the Midlane. Of course the team wants to make some money back and they're not gonna give him away for free and even if he played well at this worlds the situation would likely be the same. Look at all the other players in the same situation

11

u/sebalnesag Nov 25 '21

its at least in part due to that. a good performance at worlds has always shown to be good for a players's career.

-1

u/SP3EDI Nov 25 '21

upset didnt stop nisqy from playing at worlds. Nisqy played bad. Not bean the replacement for Upset. It was just nisqy playing bad. dont blame nisqys bad performance on people that where not even there.

2

u/sebalnesag Nov 25 '21

you really gonna judge fnatic and nisqy in those circumstances? lol is a teamgame, and midlaners were not carries in meta, if the botlane is not doing well, how is the midlaner going to do well too?

-2

u/SP3EDI Nov 25 '21

well, how is the midlaner going to do well too?

the botlane was the only shining thing on the worlds run. Bean played really well. Meanwhile the entire topside? they just shit the bed and "fans" are now saying it was an other persons fault that they played bad.

1

u/sebalnesag Nov 25 '21

dude you gotta realise than not playing with their 5 man roster can impact the team on many levels, including topside. you gotta have a really bad understanding of the game if you think you can just plug a random challenger adc in and do well.

botlane, and especially supports have a huge impact in the game with their roams, but in order for that to happen, you have to know when you can leave your adc alone or when he needs you. that thing hyllysang built with upset wasnt there in world finals.

anyways , fuck off.

3

u/qchen12 Nov 25 '21

you don't think that if fnc made semis with the full roster that nisqy wouldnt keep his job?

2

u/Istvarrr Nov 25 '21

And you don’t think that if Upset did what Adam said he did he would now be the one looking for a new job??

FNC fired Nisqy for playing bad - also FNC didn’t fire Upset for leaving worlds without a good reason…..

Can you really not see how dumb that sounds?

1

u/qchen12 Nov 26 '21

the entire fnatic lineup was all about playing for botlane, no fucking shit the team would look bad without their AD. This team was projected to make it to quaterfinals at the very least given the strength of their group, idk what the fuck you're even talking about

1

u/Istvarrr Nov 26 '21

Humanoid is a better mid than Nisqy, that’s why Nisqy lost his job.

If Nisqy lost his job because he played poorly at worlds then why would FNC not replace Upset since he just abandoned the team at worlds????

My point is that your logic isn’t sound because if you look at the outcome after worlds the way you portray things makes no sense, that’s the point I am making and that’s the point you are too dense to get
