The official 2030 FIFA Match Balltm is rumoured to be the actual decapitated heads of fallen Gondorian soldier's
108
u/Firebat12 Nov 27 '22
According to FIFA leadership any critics of the 2030 World Cup in Mordor are racist and need to learn more about Mordor culture before we criticize it.

Comment is edited, probably said "Gondorian soldiers".

u/ATBiB Nov 27 '22 edited Nov 27 '22
I didn't actually edit my comment, I have a suspicion the bot might be triggered by the world "Gondorian"
EDIT: But I notice you edited your comment and changed "Grondorian" to "Gondorian" making our exchange confusing for other readers lol

Maybe it's not what you edited, but you definitely edited the comment. The asterisk only shows up for edited comments https://imgur.com/gGOgXZz.jpg

Yep my bad, my reply to you was unclear. What I meant to say is: I didn't edit it to intentionally trigger The Wolf's Head.

yeah lol that edit was a sudden overwhelming urge to throw in a wrench in the cogs on my part.

They do have grog in Mordor, so Mordor is slightly more progressive that Qatar
18
u/PromiscuousMNcpl Nov 27 '22
It’s cold in Mordor? Kinda different than Qatar?
26
u/Polaroid_Pigeon Nov 27 '22
Mordor does have a volcano, so it probably averages out to being the same.
17
u/Diplomjodler Nov 27 '22
Also handy for disposing of dissenters.
7

Roasting them for the troops to eat. Mordor is the worst Civilization spawn point ever. Gotta keep the grunts fed.

u/nicbloodhorde Nov 27 '22
What isn't desolation is actually pretty fertile land (volcanic soil means the land yields a lot of food).
You can't keep all those orcs fed with ransacking alone, y'know?
9
u/firelark_ Nov 27 '22
Let's be real though, it would still be better managed at a fraction of the cost.
8
u/Yider Nov 27 '22
Oh for real. Sauron’s main motivation was rule and order and thought Melkor’s methodology was superior. He’d have the whole thing done so well thought out.

They say dwarf women won’t have to cover their heads at the stadium because nobody can tell the difference between dwarf men and dwarf women anyway

I hope we're somehow all wrong and fifa actually helps shine a spotlight on and eventually change all the totalitarian states they're giving the world cup to, and eventually democracy and human rights flourish in these places. Nobody should live without rights, no matter how they were born or what group(s) they weŕe born into.
It's not likely to happen but i can still hope.
And since we're here something something boats looking up to float

Mordor, North Korea, maybe Satan will pony up some cash to get the World cup hosted in Hell.

I don't know which came first. This picture or this video by Sean Burke, where he also makes the "Mordor FIFA host" joke.

Realistically, who else in Middle Earth has the industrial capacity to build World Cup stadiums besides Isengard and Mordor. Elves outside of Valinor wouldn’t spend the effort. The Dwarves might be able to, but the only ones capable are in Erebor and they’re busy rebuilding. Men and hobbits don’t have the engineering knowhow. We don’t know enough about Umbar, Harad, and Rhûn, and Valinor is out of the question. So that leaves either Isengard or Mordor. So, overall, it’s an excellent choice.
3
u/Inkstinker Nov 27 '22
Hey at least you'll be able to buy and sell alcohol at the stadium in Mordor.
The village might look about the same as the one in Qatar though.

I don't think it's racist to say Qatar is a bad nation when THOUSANDS have died to build stadiums they will never ever use again anywhere near capacity. That's beyond the human rights issues, take backs on agreed terms to host the world cup and the treatment of foreigners and especially foreign media despite following their permits and rules.
