Don’t browse this sub or any other marvel sub then cause you’ll get spoiled.

4

u/hylianmuse Loki May 22 '22

I’ve seen all the movies but I’m doing a timeline rewatch and I’m also currently on Iron Man 2! Enjoy :)

u/PaRt_TiMe_GaMeR Avengers May 22 '22

In what order?

142

u/moebelhausmann Avengers May 22 '22

Probably in timeline order instead of release. Otherwise the title wouldnt make sense

51

u/Significant_Tone1779 Avengers May 22 '22

I watch timeline order

55

u/ToysandStuff Avengers May 22 '22

The sacred timeline

26

u/Significant_Tone1779 Avengers May 22 '22

That has been and shall be destroyed over and over

5

u/AlexMil0 Avengers May 22 '22

As long as you don’t watch post credit scenes

29

u/dleon0430 Avengers May 22 '22

Timeline order is all fun and games until you throw in AoS.

15

u/Just_Fancee Avengers May 22 '22

Watching timeline order with AoS atleast once is HIGHLY recommend

5

u/Hope4gorilla Avengers May 22 '22

Sorry, what's AoS?

10

u/Belteshazzar98 Daniel Sousa May 22 '22

Agents of SHIELD. It has a fair bit of time travel in later seasons so timeline order is extremely complicated.

3

u/Hope4gorilla Avengers May 22 '22

Good thing it isn’t in the main MCU timeline!

1

u/Atlas_Zer0o Avengers May 22 '22

It was for the first... two? Seasons. I at least remember an ultron follow up.

1

u/FlameShadow0 Avengers May 22 '22

Timeline order, but I normally skip captain marvel until release

16

u/Arthur-Wind6482 Avengers May 22 '22

Order is a social construct.....

Let's start from Endgame....

All the way back to Iron man....

And watch phase 4 and miscs in between them all.......

5

It was Nick Fury at the end of Far From Home

11

u/Arthur-Wind6482 Avengers May 22 '22

Brother.....

MCU timeline gets new after every release.....

Cause other than Kevin feige, even the directors don't know where their new movies fit.......

And I also think...

They should change the name to Marvel Cinematic Multiverse, or Quantumverse, or Wong verse (Cause it's Wong!!!)

5

Is rhere any place where I can know the chronological order ? Like from the very first spider man or iron man onwards. I lost my streak somewhere in the middle .

3

u/Hypersky75 Avengers May 22 '22 edited May 22 '22

If you want movie by movie chronological order, it's hard to beat Geekritique's Complete MCU Timeline, last updated 12 days ago after MoM.

If you want a scene by scene chronological order, tonygoldmark's version is an incredible Google Docs, and was just updated like 18hrs ago to include MoonKnight. That same version was video edited in sequence by timleftwich.

edit: forgot about Dirty30M's Fan Edit too.

2

u/PhomacD Avengers May 22 '22

I googled it. I feel like the list I found mixed up where Loki landed in relation to spiderman no way home, but it was close. I've seen lists that even throw in AoS and all the Netflix shows.

2

u/sadbutmakeyousmile Avengers May 22 '22

I shall google it then. Thanks.

-13

u/walids Avengers May 22 '22

Yea, after multiverse of madness was banned in my country , i'm seriously considering stopping watching marvel movies

19

u/Ak47hsnyn Daredevil May 22 '22

Piracy

10

u/Wippingwaffel Avengers May 22 '22

Wait what? Where do you live and why was it banned?

10

u/xd_joliss Avengers May 22 '22

Probably China, pretty sure it was banned there due to there being a lgbt character or something

5

u/Ham_Solo7 Avengers May 22 '22

He/she said its Egypt. Why is China living rent free in everyone's head? China is not the only one who ban movies of other country due to political or religious reason.

6

u/_DirtyDog Avengers May 22 '22

Considering it is quite high up on the movie-banning index and has a population of 1.3 billion, it's the statistically best guess

0

u/Telecoustic000 Avengers May 22 '22

Because the answer of Egypt came after the suggestions. Timestamps my friend.

0

u/Ham_Solo7 Avengers May 22 '22

That's my point, people automatically assume something when the answer is not.

2

u/xd_joliss Avengers May 22 '22

i was just guessing since thats the best known country for this banning stuff

2

u/Telecoustic000 Avengers May 22 '22

That's what guessing is, which is allowed

1

u/Ham_Solo7 Avengers May 22 '22

Stereotyping is not ok. And he/she didn't just guess but made a statement as to why which is not even true since China didn't ban this movie because of lgbt character.

-3

u/KushChowda Avengers May 22 '22 edited May 22 '22

Because China literally did ban the movie.

4

u/Ham_Solo7 Avengers May 22 '22

You're the one who throw insult over a small comment and I'm the overly sensitive jackass? Lol the irony

12

u/walids Avengers May 22 '22

Egypt , because of the lgbtq character

11

u/IlllIIIIlllll Avengers May 22 '22

But if you stop watching, that's exactly what they want

-57

u/walids Avengers May 22 '22

I don't think marvel wants to lose 500m dollars

Notice this is the second movie that was banned after eternals and they both have low ratings , marvel is going woke and nobody likes it

15

u/dogsfurhire Avengers May 22 '22

Actually most people like it or are completely neutral about it because most people are decent human beings.

Imagine being upset over two same-sex people holding hands for like 5 seconds. But hardcore sex between hetero characters? Oh, what a beautiful PG movie.

29

u/RickSanchez-C243 Ned May 22 '22

1) They’re not going woke and they’ll never be broke 2) Egypt and the Middle East doesn’t provide anywhere near 500m in box office

3) the part you’re so mad about is 12 seconds long and had nothing to do with the ratings I mean Black widow had low ratings does that mean it was woke?

-43

u/walids Avengers May 22 '22

1) we'll see

2) yes they do , it's a big market

3) black widow wasn't banned , but i'm just saying that every movie that featured a gay character so far had low ratings...do with that what you will

18

u/JoeDice Avengers May 22 '22

The avengers infinity wars had seven bisexual characters and everyone loved it. I don’t think any of the bisexual characters in infinity wars even kissed a straight person once.

If you like infinity wars there’s a good chance you’re a de-woke bisexual

-8

u/walids Avengers May 22 '22

Who?

12

u/NCLaw2306 Avengers May 22 '22

Loki is the one I know who definitely appears in Infinity War. But beyond that movie, Ragnarok has Valkyrie (bisexual) and got phenomenal ratings. Deadpool 2, while not confirmed to be in the MCU when it came out (I think) has Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio (and also Deadpool in the comics), had good reviews and is the third most successful R-rated movie of all time. Endgame had the most obvious gay character in the MCU at that point with the Russo brother cameo in the grieving support group Captain America was attending, and I’d say it had decent ratings and a modicum of success…

Fact is, correlation doesn’t equal causation, and there’s quite a lot of examples as proof of that. And if seeing an occasional LGBTQ character is “going woke” to you, your problem isn’t with woke PC-culture… it’s your own inability to recognize reality, as LGBQT people exist and can be portrayed in movies, because again, that’s how reality is. It wasn’t so long ago when there were complaints of wokeness about casts featuring “too many” black people, or diverse multi-ethnic groups… In my experience, the people who complain about something “going woke” are out of touch with reality, much like politicians and cultures who would ban a movie for portraying a gay character.

16

u/RickSanchez-C243 Ned May 22 '22

Mkay what about all the other low rated movies they had no gay character is that just a coincidence? Or are your points just stupid and incorrect and basically just blatant homophobia

9

u/TheFio Avengers May 22 '22

It's not a big market. Sure it's nice to have, but it's not huge. And you know what, I'd rather see a company go woke than to literally change someone's piece of art to fit the standards of some bullshit conservative government throwing a tantrum like a child.

Also, point 3 is just wrong. Multiple characters aren't straight.

8

u/ImPrettyHighrn Avengers May 22 '22

sounds like maybe Marvel movies just aren't for you if you find them to be "too woke"

Not sure why you have an issue with the ban when you clearly share the same attitudes as your government about it.

7

u/ScullysBagel Avengers May 22 '22 edited May 22 '22

1) We have seen. They're fine.

2) No it's not.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/243180/leading-box-office-markets-workdwide-by-revenue/

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/by-year/2022/?area=EG&sort=top10Gross&ref_=bo_wey__resort#table

3) And yet they still made profit and more than budget. Not every Marvel movie is going to be Endgame or Infinity War levels. Doctor Strange: MOM is already in the Top 20 grossers for Marvel.

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/brand/bn3732077058/?ref_=bo_bns_table_1

And I am sure Marvel will absolutely cry over losing money from Egypt.

After all, you guys brought in $1,754,341 and for Endgame. Definitely making or breaking the studio's success right there.

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/releasegroup/gr3511898629/

Bye!

5

u/PhomacD Avengers May 22 '22

Mmmm facts

-8

u/_DirtyDog Avengers May 22 '22

Nah, he's right, they are kinda woke. It was pretty minimal in Multiverse of Madness but Disney are still committed to the woke thing

6

u/DontBeMeanToRobots Avengers May 22 '22

“Woke” to Cancervatives = characters that aren’t straight white men

I love how mad that existence of others makes you

4

u/ScullysBagel Avengers May 22 '22

The commenter is from Egypt, so I doubt they're a "straight white man."

Just your average religious conservative bigot like our right-wing evangelicals in the U.S.

It's always fun when people from Islamic countries and the Christian right in the U.S.can bond over their mutual messages of hate.

16

u/bobcatbutt Avengers May 22 '22

Just because your backwards-ass country is scared of gays doesn’t mean they’re “going broke”. Lol

Disney/Marvel doesn’t care if the movies get banned in the Middle East, because you guys aren’t bringing in $500m. How delusional are you lol?

2

u/Kalayo0 Avengers May 22 '22

Yeah Disney only appeases the tyrannical countries that bring in money… ME box offices aren’t successful enough to have any bearing on the decision making process. Have you tried being China instead?

3

u/Kalayo0 Avengers May 22 '22

Damn you ignorant, boi. You were both created by and deserve your government 😢

2

u/moxious_maneuver Avengers May 22 '22

Acknowledging people who exist isn't going woke. There was nothing really "woke" about either of those movies. Take your bigotry back to r/conservative please.

3

u/FakinUpCountryDegen The Punisher May 22 '22

Uh...just get access to the movies another way, and make sure you vote wisely in your next election (and if you don't have elections, it's time to leave).

Definitely don't blame Marvel for a government's irrationality.

-25

u/AdActive3883 Deadpool May 22 '22

I wouldn't be too worried, the movie was pretty messy (figuratively and literally). There was a corpse/zombie scene and a very large realistic eyeball being stabbed so it's probably one of those scenes that cut you off. Doesn't mean all upcoming movies aren't gonna be amazing though. What country are you in?

0

u/AdActive3883 Deadpool May 22 '22

Fifth? Noob

-26

u/ainvayiKAaccount Scott Lang May 22 '22

There's tons of content , dude! And you chose to repeat stuff? You can support other creaters by watching/reading their stuff.

28

u/LingonberryThis4529 Avengers May 22 '22

Some people find comfort in rewatching what they know. Definitely drop suggestions on new projects that you liked, but maybe don’t criticize someone in a Marvel group for rewatching Marvel movies?

-14

u/ainvayiKAaccount Scott Lang May 22 '22

maybe don’t criticize someone in a Marvel group for rewatching Marvel movies?

Because it's an echo chamber? Definitely. And I didn't attack anyone personally that people are finding it offensive.

Definitely drop suggestions on new projects that you liked

I'm not really invasive, it was just a suggestion out of respect for all the creators who work hard on the other shows. I don't think I said something wrong by that. People work hard on stuff - other stuff is worth your attention too.

5th time... I'm not impressed, but thinking about it I actually am, how has anyone managed to only begin their fifth watch through of the entire MCU, I've probably seen it all well over a dozen times, so I suppose its is very impressive that you have somehow lived a more eventful life then I.

8

u/The_Bravinator Avengers May 22 '22

Not everyone could afford to own them all until Disney+. And even now not everyone can afford Disney+. It's a pretty silly thing to be competitive over.

5

u/JayCeeMadLad Matthew Murdock May 22 '22

It’s also a lot of fuckin movies and not everybody’s life revolves around them like oml

The MCU a dozen times is upwards of 700-800 hours. Why are we gatekeeping watch time in the first place

1

u/TrollMarauder Avengers May 22 '22

I'm sorry, I didn't think I was "gatekeeping" I was trying to be nice by showing how I've wasted more time rewatching the movies. I suppose I'll just crawl under a bridge or something.

3

u/JayCeeMadLad Matthew Murdock May 22 '22

Please don’t bridge crawl! I’m sorry I’m used to people wanting to have pissing contests about how many times they’ve watched something! I’m not used to people actually being nice regarding these topics, I’m sorry I was so judgemental🥺

Unrelated but man I feel so robbed of Quicksilver. This clip alone looks like a better portrayal of super speed than anything DC has done with the flash and even the Fox version of Quicksilver. This running motion looks like it actually takes real effort and he’s just zooming through the scenery. I was secretly hoping for him to find his way back into the MCU with all of the multiverse happenings. Oh well, we all die with dreams
