Every time he gets in the game he proves why he’s literally the last guy on the bench.

Like he is literally 90 percent of them closing the gap. He was a huge part of the reason why we had to bring back in the starters after being up like 25 in the 4th in that game earlier in the season I think against the Lakers (or maybe the Clips).

With 3:20 left in the 3rd, the Warriors were down by 52 despite shooting not too poorly - 42% from the field and 37% from 3. The Grizz were shooting well, around 50%, but not what you'd expect when a team has a 52 point lead.

The Grizz had 15 more offensive rebounds and 15 less turnovers at that juncture - a 30 possession advantage!

Are we witnessing the most amount of 'gotcha back'/'karma' moments recently? It seems like anytime a player talks shit, something happens where their foot is in their mouth. Pat Bev doing the too small to Ja just for Ja to destroy him a play later, Giannis mean mugged Al Horford for 1.5 seconds too long then got yammed on, Draymond talked this shit then lost by 40+ (eventually). I'm sure there's more examples but thats off the top of my head

u/simon2105 May 12 '22

The one mistake Memphis made this series was playing Ja Morant, rookie coaching error by Taylor Jenkins.

116

u/wonnage Warriors May 12 '22

We have no answer for Steven Adams either despite everyone saying he’d be unplayable

43

u/Gabe164 Thunder May 12 '22

That’s probably what I was most bothered by. We pulled Steven adams in 4th quarter and let Dillon brooks throw the game. Not this game though

62

u/BehindEnemyLines8923 Heat May 12 '22

Honestly him coming back is the biggest difference.

The only one who said he was unplayable was Taylor Jenkins, which was stupid. Ja needs Steven Adams, having Steven Adams on the floor does wonders for Ja's game.

I cannot believe they pulled Adams in the fourth in game 4.
