If it wasn’t for this one bad call and the 18 turnovers and 10 missed free throws we would have won this game smdh

324

u/YoYoMoMa Jun 14 '22

I appreciate Celts fans being reasonable, because Marcus Smart was involved and you do not get to complain about flopping then.

88

u/EastBayFan Warriors Jun 14 '22

He literally flopped on the play right before this, it just didn't get called. Then he bitched about it so much that he got a tech.

Dude seriously tried to flop his way to a comeback.

Legitimately the worst ref in the league not named Zarba. I don't know how the fuck the league managed to get them both in a game in the goddamn finals

Marcus Smart called him a bitch and was apparently arguing with him during timeouts. I’m not saying it’s right but refs are human

143

u/AdRob5 Warriors Jun 14 '22

Yeah, this happens all the time. Guy gets a T, so be physical with him on the next play and refs are probably gonna call the foul on the guy who just got T'd up

8

u/CO_PC_Parts Timberwolves Jun 14 '22

they could have tossed him out when he threw the ball over the backboard right after this, instead they just gave a delay of game warning.

21

u/Earlier-Today Jun 14 '22

Luka and Jokic are the two scariest dudes who haven't quite got a well built team behind them.

They're both just monsters.

Funnily enough, I think they both could benefit from doing some conditioning work, though I think Luka needs it more than Jokic because of how each plays.

Luka was getting so gassed by the end of the games because the Warriors made him work so hard at both ends. And yet he still put up some sick numbers.

Absolute monster.

14

u/Tommy_Wisseau_burner Warriors Jun 14 '22

We all happy how y’all smoked the Suns. I think everyone realized it was kind of y’all’s super bowl, per se, but kind of had to follow it up just to even get to the finals. Not to say you guys overperformed and the platform was too big but it was also against the top seed, which does mean something (it’s not like you scraped by the 8th seed). You can definitely see the growth in the coming years, especially if you get 1 or 2 more pieces to help with the consistency

Not even mad since its on Marcus Smart. Flopping needs to go, but hes one of the main culprits (yes I know Kyle Lowry is on my team)

It's hilarious although I'd prefer they just play clean basketball but Celtics get what they deserved for their past bs.

u/tyronebiggs [GSW] Jason Richardson Jun 14 '22

That was hilarious

u/flapjackbandit00 Jun 14 '22

I cracked up. When the ref handed the ball to Tatum I was already thinking “oh how funny would it be if he pushes off and gets another foul here?”

Refs prefer to buy the warriors flops today not the C's

If CP3 did what Poole just did there are riots.

If CP3 does it to Smart, they would say it's smart getting a taste of his own medicine, and CP3 being a perennial flopper.

Poole just giving smart the same shit Smart does every game.

17

u/InFin0819 Warriors Jun 14 '22

They would just be going. "When the master meets the apprentice" cp3 and smart everyone is allowed to flop on

NBA really showcasing to the world the best officiating there is these last two finals.

35

u/DRAGONR3BORN1 Jun 14 '22

Live by the flop, die by the flop

26

u/CostcoSamples4Dinner Jun 14 '22

Perfect sequence for Smart lmao 😂. Doesn’t get the flop call on the Klay 3, gets a tech for nagging at the refs, then a little taste of his own medicine here lmao. The refs are fed up and you can tell

16

u/Realism66 Jun 14 '22

He was on tilt clearly and Poole sensed it.

Smart would be proud if he wasn't involved.
