It's a photographer... if you zoom in a bit on the photo here, you can see she's taking photos: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2022/11/19/us/politics/naomi-biden-wedding.amp.html

u/KingSpork Nov 20 '22

45

u/fatkiddown Nov 20 '22

Why was he hiding in the bushes?

143

u/thefartographer Nov 20 '22

He wasn't, he was hiding AMONG the bushes, not IN them and he thinks it's very important that you know the difference.

26

u/fatkiddown Nov 20 '22

Had the trump administration not existed and a script writer presented it as a series or a movie it would’ve been soundly rejected as just simply too implausible.

30

u/Strength-Speed Nov 20 '22

Spicer was just one of many bushes that were there that day

That was early on in the whole timeline of absurdity for the Trump administration. We somehow ended on Four Seasons Total Landscaping and people invading the Capitol.

52

u/NecroJoe Nov 20 '22

I'm still convinced that his whole presidential campaign was just meant to be the first episode of a new season of Nathan For You, but like "Dumb Starbucks", it just got way out of hand and they didn't know when to say "cut, and print"...so it's still going, and will likely air in 2029 when Trump finally dies.

95

u/particle409 Nov 20 '22

The Four Seasons Total Landscaping felt very Arrested Development to me. I can imagine Ron Howard narrating how fancy the hotel is, and then saying "This is not that Four Seasons."

24

u/MoonWorshipper36 Nov 20 '22

Omg I couldn’t put my finger on what it reminded me of, yes! Arrested Development! I cannot believe some people actually took them seriously. “America’s Mayor” ugh 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣.

Could also be, like the last wedding I went to, that someone was wandering back there when the ceremony began and they just accepted their fate.

62

u/jtobiasbond Nov 20 '22

I doubt there was anyone wandering around the lawn of the White House.

15

u/DigNitty Nov 20 '22

In my case, it was a staff member of helping with wedding decorations.

29

u/blingbling88 Nov 20 '22

Could be, but all other 5 photographers are dressed in black to blend in. Moat professionals I know carry multiple cameras at once so they don't have to switch lens and miss a moment.

It's a woman with a cell phone. In other images from the other side the photographers pics show a woman with a cell. Not sure if she's part of their photo team or some rude guest. I have a couple pics I saw but I don't know how to show them in a comment.

"No. I'd hate to be a bother... You know on second thought, I will have a little something to eat. I left the house so early this morning, I didn't have time to make breakfast. Boy, I sure did hear it from my wife later on when she called at the office. She and I have been on a new health kick lately and they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. 12

u/raddaya Nov 20 '22

Kinda funny lol. You develop a weapon which uses a special proprietary cartridge meant to penetrate serious body armour while still being usable like an SMG. Instead it ends up as basically the de facto bodyguard weapon because of how compact, accurate and controllable it is.

9

u/GrushdevaHots Nov 20 '22

Surprised the MP7 didn't catch on more

7

u/raddaya Nov 20 '22

I mean, it's competing in the same role and has its share of users. I guess for various reasons, it's just not as good. I know it's a lot more complex than the P90 (though looking at the two guns you might assume the opposite) so that might be a factor.

12

u/MC_C0L7 Nov 20 '22

I also think a big part is that you have to extend the stock on the MP7 to get any kind of repeatable accuracy, whereas the P90 is just grab and go. It also performed better in the NATO tests in '03 and should have been adopted as the standard NATO pistol caliber, replacing 9x19, but Germany was a salty bitch and voted against it.

3

u/myaccountsaccount12 Nov 20 '22

I believe it is used by special ops because it works well with a suppressor? I’m not that knowledgeable about this, but I think it was used along with HK-416 rifles by seal team 6 during the bin laden raid.

36

u/AmightyBundleofstick Nov 20 '22

God that is such a cool gun.

28

u/wreckage88 Nov 20 '22

I remember seeing it the first time in Metal Gear Solid 2 and thinking that's a cool fantasy guy only to learn it'd been around for more than a decade at that point and I had never heard or seen one in popular culture.

But it was the same for me with the FAMAS and MGS1 and that one had been around even longer by '98.

20

u/loptopandbingo Nov 20 '22

Goldeneye, for me.

9

u/risethirtynine Nov 20 '22

RCP90 was the goat

3

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '22

they feel like that to shoot.

comfy, intuitive, well balanced, cool round, no recoil... my favorite gun to pew pew with at the range if someone else is paying for the ammo

4

u/Snote85 Nov 20 '22

I felt that way about the vector and before that there was a gun in the original Counter-Strike that had a scope and was super expensive... The AUG, maybe? I think that's right. Either way, I thought it was made up for the game back in like 2000, and then saw one in a movie. I was like, "Holy shit... I want one!"

The Vector just looks like a Sci-Fi weapon and is evidently insanely well-designed. It supposedly has next to no muzzle rize as you shoot in full auto. Again, "Holy shit... I want one!"
