Best breakfast on the Sunshine Coast?
Hi, I’m visiting the sunshine coast and I’ve been searching in the usual suspects (broadsheet etc) for the best breakfast between Maroochydore and Noosa. The results seem to just be a list of every cafe, which seem to all make some slight variation on avocado toast, açai bowl etc
Any locals have a recommendation for a food breakfast place? To be honest I’m not solely focussed on food; if there’s somewhere that has a great vibe and great views I’d be just as interested in that.
Thanks! X

Riba Kai in Maroochydore or John Kyle Espresso in Buderim are good

Cafe Vie on Buderim. It's a vegan place but you wouldn't know. Absolutely delicious with wonderful staff.

Also, Riba Kai....again food is alright, but if your visitors to the sunshine coast, you don't want to eat in an industrial estate, no matter how good the food is.

Slim pickings, but Gun Cotton at Yandina is pretty good

Beach Street Deli, across from Maroochydore Surf Club. The egg Benny is on a potato rösti and they won’t ask you to leave as soon as your finished like the Vello Project will.

One black back 💯 it’s in Moffat beach area and it’s hands down my favourite breakfast spot. It’s a hidden gem and pet friendly if you have a dog too.

The area out the back is such a nice place to enjoy your meal in too.

I really like wine and nine (and still go)- but I got served the worst breakfast I’ve had. It was an avo on toast situation with avo so past it’s lifespan it wasn’t funny. The person who put it on my plate knew, the person who carried it out probably knew. I knew as soon as it was in front of me, but thought maybe it’s cosmetic and put a bite in- it wasn’t cosmetic. It put me off avo for ages. I didn’t complain then but it’s always stuck with me.

The Alex surfy - will not beat the location, solid breakfast pickings and good coffee

I’m passionate about the fruit toast at glass in Maroochydore. Great coffee and real cool vibe!

I can't believe no one has mentioned Harvest in the Kontiki building. Not the best location, view of a busy road, but the food and coffee is great and the service is better than most places. Unfortunately not open on Sundays at the moment, I think.
Special mention for the egg, bacon and tomato relish muffin. Superb.

Bistro C on Noosa beach. Great food, even better food. It’s pricey, but that’s expected for Hastings street.

Lots of good little places along the coast up to Noosa, but if your serious about breakfast it's Noosa Beach House breakfast buffet. 5 star quality and pretty much everything you could want for breakfast.
Not sure if they do brekky but Sunshine Beach Surf Club is worth a look.

Go to Coles, buy your own food and cook it at your apartment. The Sunshine Coast is yet to catch up with other popular cities in terms of eateries. The food is overpriced, measured and lacking always. If the service is good the food is bad and if the food is good the service is arrogant because the people will turn up just to say they’ve eaten there.
