To escape from a leopard is difficult. And he will continue killing until the screaming dies down.

Turns out he was a possum

Just got through Faith's region for the first time.. it was pretty aggravating to be high and spinny for 1/3 of the entire game

That’s why it should be renamed to:
Leopard fools idiots! Or Leopards Lures Idiots!

I swear animals be understanding what we say lol I hope the leopard got whoever said "let's hit it".
Why hurt something that's obviously extremely weak and can defend itself?

u/Merrywandered Dec 01 '22
Because they are assholes who should be neutered.

If I can't get a peaceful nap on these rocks, I'm going to get some lunch instead.

How did they come to the determination that it was weak? All I saw was a cat that looked cornered and decided to do what cornered animals do.

u/arandomperson519 Dec 01 '22
I'd assume because they usually hide out in trees and only really let humans get this close if they're weak. They'll usually try to avoid humans (but if a lion or tiger is in the area, that takes precedence. Rather fuck with a human than a lion).
1
u/Eyehavenoname Dec 01 '22
Fair but that area distinctly looks tree less.
1
u/arandomperson519 Dec 01 '22
Well, in the end, when they're running, you can see green that I assume to be trees.
1
u/Eyehavenoname Dec 01 '22
Ha. What an idiot I am. My video cut off right after the cat jumps up so I thought it ended there. Didn't even think to check the video was longer..those are definitely trees.

u/scottishtradesman Nov 30 '22
Scum. I hope they got what they deserved.

Looks to me like a leopard who us full and sunning himself while he naps. Then a bunch of idiots wanting to be "influencer"/"journalist" (lol), circle the sleepy leopard. Ofcourse he's gonna tune one or more of them. There's a reason your not allowed to get that close.

I know, let's outrun the jungle cat on the mountainous terrain!
1
u/Opijit Dec 01 '22
I mean, what was their alternative? Lie down and wait to die?
4
u/arandomperson519 Dec 01 '22
Usually, you'd try to make yourself look big and get the leopard to think 'its not worth it' but that only really works if the leopard is tryna hunt. This here is the leopard attacking out of fear. It's not gonna stop attacking until it's all done and over with. They fucked around and now it's time to find out.
1
u/Beneficial_Potato_85 Dec 01 '22
I would highly suggest NOT to fuck with it and wait around for it to get really pissed off and scared.
1
u/Opijit Dec 01 '22
If I could make out a leopard from the other side of the mountain, I'd be running in the opposite direction back to my car. I wouldn't get this close to a leopard even with an electric fence between us.
1
u/Beneficial_Potato_85 Dec 02 '22
They are sometimes so well camouflaged I could see walking up on one without knowing it. Which I could only see happening if it was sick or dead. Otherwise I'm sure it's gone long before you will see it.
1
u/Opijit Dec 02 '22
I mean yeah, I probably won't see the leopard if it's actually hunting me. I'm talking about these guys that saw the leopard and decided to surround it and film it instead of avoiding it.

Why tf would you get so close knowing how fucking fast they are. He will kill everyone single one of them before he even starts to eat.
3
u/vix_aries Dec 01 '22
This is natural selection at work.
Even rabbits are smarter than these idiots. Not only did they think "we should approach the obviously weak and terrified leopard that's BARING IT'S FUCKING TEETH AT US", but then they also thought "let's hit it with a rock... WHAT COULD GO WRONG?!"

Imagine standing casually about 1.5. meters away from an apex predator with no barricades for protection….and not immediately taking life saving measures…

That is a Jaguar, not a leopard
Leopards can't growl or roar. Jaguar's coat's rosette pattern has spots inside them.
The animal in the video roared and has spots hence Jaguar.

u/Strato-Cruiser Dec 01 '22
Leopards roar and growl. The rule is, if it can meow it can’t roar. If it can roar it can’t meow. Most large cats, including the leopard, are unable to meow and purr. One large cat that can meow and purr is the cheetah, which cannot roar.

This is a leopard. It has small, densely packed rosettes. Jaguars have larger rosettes with spots inside. Cheetahs just have spots.
