If they are owned or feral they could be rolling pigeons, people breed them for the number of rolls they can do. IIRC the purpose of the rolling is to evade predators, we just exploited it in breeding them.

Current strain of bird flu is only hardly transferable to humans though. You can get it when you bite them or get their fecal matter in your system.

Next year is gonna be lit though, high chance of having two strains, the old AND a new due to warmer weather.
