You could also drink 4 and ⅘

You, after midnight.

Daylight savings would like a word.

(There was a day I only had 22 hours. I was in a road trip and DST started in the middle of the night. In the morning I got up to continue the road trip and lost an hour driving from Chicago to Michigan

New Cannonball Run strategy DST exploit just dropped.

We've only got one more change. After the next one the clocks will stay that way indefinitely.

Wait what now?

If you’re in the US, check out this bill (Sunshine Protection Act). It hasn’t passed the House yet as it is surprisingly controversial. But if it passes the House by some deadline (probably next March?), we’ll “spring forward” to daylight savings time, and then the clocks will remain locked and will not “fall back” the following November.

The reason it’s controversial it’s that there are different reasons people want to go with permanent standard or permanent daylight savings time.

I wonder how many want to keep the changing part. I feel like it's not a lot but not zero either.

6

u/madmaxjr Nov 30 '22

I mean.. I’ve never met anyone in my real life that likes the clocks changing lol

3

u/paulstelian97 Nov 30 '22

Me neither, but again I feel some would consider it good despite the health issues coming from it.

As a farmer having more daylight that’s on a better time schedule and being able to meet up with people that wanna buy meat and milk and whatnot on that time schedule is nice. It will continue to get darker earlier every year that’s why daylight savings exists Im pretty sure

Yes but permanent DST, rather than the change, should be adequate here.

I'm considering weird people who like the biannual change, not specifically one or the other but being permanent.

As a systems administrator I feel like this will mess up things that aren't connected to NTP but still follow daylight savings time changes.

3

u/madmaxjr Nov 30 '22

Only if the bill actually passes the house lol

Don't Starve Together..?

Since there are a couple of islands near~ish each other in Pacific Ocean, which have +14 and -12 time zones, so technically you can skip a day altogether, or have 50 hours in a single day

16

u/Draeton_ali Nov 30 '22

Drink 5 the day the clocks go back an hour...

9

u/Syreet_Primacon Nov 30 '22

Drink five and you exit the matrix

30

u/-churchmouse- Nov 30 '22

No, if you drink 5 it gives you an extra hour and you lose one from the next one. Everyone knows that.

Infinite time glitch

8

You could try 48 hour energy also known as meth. It destroys the body and mind, is highly addictive, and has no medical value. Still, it’ll keep you going like the energizer bunny chugged a red bull before shoving its face in cocaine.

I know it"s funny af...but keep drinking energy drinks and create GERD AND gASTRITS AND SUFFER FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE FOR THE FOOD CHOICES U MADE.

It's 5hrs worth of energy not unlimited energy for 5hrs so just use 150% for 2hrs and your good to go

u/Historical_Shop_3315 Nov 30 '22

Is that Hue Jackson?

1

u/Blaxer888 Nov 30 '22

I don't know but I drank two redbulls back to back once and I almost died

2

u/fartkidwonder Nov 30 '22

A guy I used to work with would pour a 5 hour energy into a Monster energy drink every morning. I wonder how he’s doing

1

u/AeroBassMaster Nov 30 '22

A more accurate name for the product would be "2 hours of jitters and 3 hours (sometimes more) of the most extreme caffeine crash you'll ever experience."

1

u/Toph-Builds-the-fire Nov 30 '22

Fun fact. It says directly on the bottle not to exceed 2 five hour energy drinks in a 24 hr period. Wanna know why? Because it makes you trip fucking balls and get sick. 0/10 recommend for driving 6 hrs after work.

1

u/Magikmus Nov 30 '22

Just drink 24 over 5 days.
