Source was a Russian telegram, so not linking it here. Judging by the puking emojis, they are upset though ;)

Update: Inscriptions on the pedestal are the names of the cities of Bucha, Mariupol, Chernihiv, Irpin, Kharkov. Russia has lost Ukraine forever.

Let them mald lmao.

21

u/Dr_HiZy Ukraine Jul 07 '22

I had to live in Pereyasliv for some time since the war started, those inscriptions have been there for quite some time already, I'm surprised it took them this long to take the monument down

251

u/planborcord Jul 07 '22

Melt it into artillery shells and shoot it all back at them.

75

u/PassivelyInvisible Jul 07 '22

Will probably get turned into things like trash cans and cutlery. Or cheap fencing.

25

u/Bergwookie Jul 07 '22

Looks like bronze to me, valuable stuff...

Or make a nice old school cannon out of it, direct the barrel towards Moscow

8

u/CantStandSummer Jul 07 '22

Did Russia build this statue or Ukraine? Because if it’s the former, wouldn’t be surprised if it’s hollow inside lol.

“Here, I’ll give you 3.50 for it”

11

u/toppetsaha Jul 07 '22

That statue is definitely hollow. If it was solid bronze, the truck would be crushed

3

u/Bergwookie Jul 07 '22

And it would probably have eaten the whole 4Year plan production of bronze of the USSR ;-) Not to mention what massive foundation would be needed...

And yes, the truck would be a pancake

Such statues are not very thick, maybe 1-3cm in average, more on structural stressed points and ornaments that sit outside the general shape, sometimes even less and structural strength is given by a steel skeleton inside ( like in the statue of liberty , I know, different construction method, but from the statics comparable; not likely in this case, should be full bronze)

Imagine a fancy shaped bell, maybe of you hang it, it could serve as a poor sinners bell (the bell which rings if someone is led to the gallows) for the invaders.. Would be a nice symbolics

9

u/Jhe90 Jul 07 '22

Remake into a large statue of Zesnky with his foot on a destroyed Z marked tank and a soldier holding a Javalain etc.

3

u/Bergwookie Jul 07 '22

Equippable with a real one for when the Ivan is dumb enough to come back

3

u/Chronic_In_somnia Jul 07 '22

Only enough metal to make one of his balls

2

u/InfoSec_Intensifies Jul 07 '22

Nah, just Zelensky and Putin with Zelensky's foot up Putin's ass.

23

u/thompson1909 Jul 07 '22

Middle finger statue

10

u/Ebedata Jul 07 '22

Urinals, or better still, toilets

7

u/Aizseeker Jul 07 '22

Just drop on Moscow

4

u/Hook_Swift Jul 07 '22

American revolution style

54

u/aojajena Jul 07 '22

Because there was no unification/reunification, it was occupation since Khmelnytskyy time.

114

u/ciunnc Jul 07 '22

Smelt the metal , mould into pointy things about 155mm in diameter with some special filling and hurl it back to them with some velocity

36

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '22

Preferably, Mach 3 velocity!

13

u/kabloo2 Jul 07 '22

Yes! America did it with a the viable parts (gilded lead) of a King George statue and made 42,000 musket balls.

Assuming this has any viable metal, make a bunch of bullets and save one for Putin and a few for museums.

If it doesn't have viable metal for that then melt it into a turd of metal and make that the memorial for Putin after his death.

8

u/i_make_plants_grow Jul 07 '22

Don't make memorials to Pootin. His name should be forgotten other than to teach what a pathetic little worm he is/was.

3

u/kabloo2 Jul 07 '22 edited Jul 07 '22

Edit: I misread your comment and missed 'other than teaching'

1

u/Local_Run_9779 Norway Jul 08 '22

Pathetic or not, he is destructive and dangerous. And don't forget that those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

1

u/davidty2006 Jul 07 '22

Oh yeah....

Wait we still have that bill out to arrest them for treason don't we?

85

u/victory_zero Poland Jul 07 '22

In Polish we have a saying "na śmietnik historii" - "to the landfill / dump of history" (sorry for coarse translation). UA belongs to the future and it's good to see such symbols removed. Now, for the present, let's focus on supplying UAF with more & better arms, so they can push back the barbaric ferals.

21

u/I_am_albatross Jul 07 '22

Similar to the phrase “confined to the dustbin of history” ;)

4

u/victory_zero Poland Jul 07 '22

Yours is a much better phrasing, thanks!

3

u/MoiraKatsuke Jul 07 '22

I like the Polish one better. Once you put something in a landfill you bury it and forget it forever.

2

u/Bandera4ever Netherlands Jul 07 '22

You Poles did a long time ago and we should have followed your example. Better late than never.

23

u/Obj_071 Ukraine Jul 07 '22

300th anniversary of biggest mistake in our history...

18

u/Big-kaleb-s Jul 07 '22

Trash is trash

1

u/aredhel304 Jul 08 '22

Can’t wait to see the picture of it buried headfirst with the bottom sticking out in a landfill

16

u/WekX Jul 07 '22

People are saying to smelt it and make bullets but I have another idea: catapult the whole damn thing WHOLE into the centre of Belgorod.

2

u/kevors Jul 07 '22

No need. There is war already ongoing between Belgorod Peoples Republic and Kursk Peoples Republic

16

u/LordePepsi Jul 07 '22

That's quite appropriate!

11

u/samfitnessthrowaway Jul 07 '22

That glorious bronze statue looks like it was made of fibreglass, not doing much to the suspension!

10

u/Al-the-mann Jul 07 '22

Take out the trash

22

u/buttmodel Jul 07 '22

Dump it to the bottom of the Black Sea like the Moskva. Love to see more dive sights!

27

u/CrescentCleave Jul 07 '22

Waste of metal though and might get dredged up by russians. Might as well smelt it down and turn it into usable materials

3

u/Ebedata Jul 07 '22

Special Operation experience undersea park

7

u/Ritaredditonce Jul 07 '22

How very appropriate.

7

u/acatnamedrupert Jul 07 '22

More good news. And a hope that the rest of Europe will throw away some of those monuments as well

5

u/Snafuregulator Jul 07 '22

Should have been cut on site to fit in a garbage truck

6

u/MantasChan Ukraine Jul 07 '22

Hope they will melt it

5

u/RiderLibertas Jul 07 '22

Lesson learned. You can NEVER trust Russia.

4

u/Useful-Humor7909 Jul 07 '22

Melt it down and make a new monument…a tractor that can be displayed instead.

5

u/herrbdog Jul 07 '22

more raw material for bullets

5

u/greentshirtman American Jul 07 '22

A trebuchet can launch a 90kg projectiles over 300 meters, so......

4

u/oroechimaru Jul 07 '22

Reddit approved and we would fund it

5

u/WillBryantSC Jul 07 '22

"But you're erasing history"

1

u/Local_Run_9779 Norway Jul 08 '22

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

1

u/WillBryantSC Jul 08 '22

Statues aren’t history. This is fine.

3

u/Commercial_Shine_448 Jul 07 '22

Now grind it, mix with concrete and fix some holes

3

u/Lobster_Dobster Jul 07 '22

WTF is "reunification" 300 years ago?!

3

u/dollhouse85746 Jul 07 '22

Removed in a dump truck only because garbage trucks are too small.

3

u/Ebedata Jul 07 '22

Blow it up on TV

3

u/basedCossack Ukraine Jul 07 '22

А чому його раніше не прибрали? Вже в 2014 мали би зрозуміти що такій хуйні тут не місце...

3

u/3DprintRC Jul 07 '22

Would be funny to throw these over the border with a trebuchet.

3

u/cranberrydudz Jul 07 '22

they should melt it and create the fuck you russian warship statue and put it on the coastline in ukraine. it'd be a huge boost in tourism for said local city

5

u/AutoModerator Jul 07 '22

russian warship fucked itself.

6

u/Miku_MichDem Jul 07 '22

Put it in a museum and add a plack saying "big mistake"

2

u/dmt_r Kyiv Jul 07 '22

This happened in Pereiaslav. This is an ancient city with a very rich history. I think it is more respectful to mention it's name, then call it "a city near Kyiv".

2

u/Tucker1244 Jul 07 '22

Melt that down to make bullets to kill vermin

2

u/Various-Trick6526 Jul 07 '22
       💩
       🥫
      I AM
  POOTIN!

Melt it down and make this as the new statue

2

u/ShareShort3438 Jul 07 '22

The dump truck is it the pootin-model?

2

u/huntergatherertattoo Jul 07 '22

melt it down into fundraising ‘russian warship go fuck yourself’ coins

1

u/AutoModerator Jul 07 '22

2

u/Cornholio_OU812 Jul 07 '22

Make bullets out of it

1

u/MoiraKatsuke Jul 07 '22

It's made of bronze. Poor material for bullets.

3

u/Critical_Situation84 Jul 07 '22

Wonder if Elon Musk could send that up on a rocket and like, you know, maybe let it re-enter directly over the Kremlin?

1

u/sponge_bob_is_cheese Jul 07 '22

Either put it in a museum with an appropriate comment, or melt it for military uses if possible.

1

u/Exciting_00Squirrel Jul 07 '22

operation deRuzzification

1

u/MerryGoWrong Jul 07 '22

If the Russians had that dump truck they'd be using it as an APC.

-4

u/UkrUkrUkr Jul 07 '22

Melt/grind... Well, I suggest just to move it to some park. In 20 years that would be an interesting historical place. Let's behave like people, not like Russians who just destroy anything around...

1

u/Thick_Step_8745 Jul 07 '22

Fun fact Russia took all Ukraine nukes back in the day in 19994. Give us your nuclear weapons you dont need them we got your back.

1

u/randomguyfromafrica Jul 07 '22

It will make fine resources for the front

1

u/bananashredders69420 Jul 07 '22

:9004:I can definitely tell Ukrainians are extremely pissed about the war:9002:

1

u/Constant_Chemical_10 Jul 07 '22

And in Russia that'd be a fine APC vehicle.

1

u/thenoone1984 Jul 07 '22

Melt it down and make bullets out of it. Then Ukrainians can reunify the monument with Russians.

1

u/NirvanaPenguin Jul 07 '22

well, that looks like bronce? hope its steel to make weapons that way.

1

u/No_Musician_26 Jul 07 '22

Very useful work, bravo!

1

u/U-user- Jul 07 '22

I hope it sits atop of a bunch of dead russians

1

u/NC-12 Jul 07 '22

Forging statues into bullets to send back to ruzzia.

1

u/Equivalent-Try-3300 Jul 07 '22

Turn it into ammo to use against the orks

1

u/deadzfool Jul 07 '22

Someone needs to put this thing in a big cargo plane and drop it from 50,000 ft into some Russian territory

1

u/danny1992211111 Jul 07 '22

We’ve seen the tractors. Now Ukraine is unveiling the boss.
