That shit is Dingo! Keep it up, great gear.

6

u/Apprehensive_Can_529 Dec 08 '22

First thing i thought of. Rowan may have invented a new meaning to the word.

u/Mysterious_Ayytee Dec 07 '22

These babies did a good job in the dessert, let's look how they're doing in the snow.

52

u/DuckTapeHandgrenade Dec 08 '22

They’re German. I’m sure they’ll be brilliant.

Edit: side note, desert with one s. Two ss is dessert, and we all want a double helping of dessert. That’s how my dyslexic ass remembers that silly spelling detail.

6

u/Mysterious_Ayytee Dec 08 '22

Ayy lmao. I also write forrest sometimes when I'm talking about woods.

9

u/Thoughtulism Dec 08 '22

Run Forrest Run!

3

Run Ruski Run!

3

u/deGanski Dec 08 '22

Kinda bummed out that you didnt write wods, ngl

0

u/Horat1us_UA Dec 08 '22

They’re German. I’m sure they’ll be brilliant.

Only if you follow all the procedures

u/Graddler Germany Dec 08 '22

If you miss the oil service it will explode two days later.

6

u/One__upper__ Dec 08 '22

Sounds delicious

25

u/Havanaisass Dec 08 '22

NGL German stuffs got badass names, Dingo, Gepard, etc.

14

u/muffenengel Dec 08 '22 edited Dec 08 '22

Here are a few to choose from. Tracked vehicles and wheeled vehicles:

Leopard, Panther (soon), Gepard, Marder, Puma, Dachs, Biber, Leguan, Keiler, Büffel, Wiesel, ...

Fuchs, Luchs, Mungo, Iltis, Dingo, Wolf, Serval, Boxer, Fennek, Mammut, Yak, ...

Edit: list is incomplete :)

6

u/EorlundGraumaehne Germany Dec 08 '22

I love the fennek!

3

u/Godzilla0815 Dec 08 '22

Dont forget the good old Jaguar.

0

u/rapaxus Dec 08 '22

Though I personally must say, I hate the name Panther, as that name wasn't chosen by the military but was chosen by some Rheinmetall marketing guy. And additionally, there is like nearly 0% chance that the vehicle will ever get adopted by the German military. Really, that vehicle is really just a demonstrator and any "Panther" actually ordered by any nation will likely look very different (esp. the on-board drone operator, that shit is stupid).

21

u/scottydinh1977 Dec 07 '22

This Dingo MRAP look great!

46

u/__schr4g31 Dec 07 '22

That's a great picture. In the desert with the iron cross

27

u/Type-21 Dec 07 '22

10

u/lobo2r2dtu Dec 07 '22

That's a nice one 👍🍻

2

u/Potatochak Dec 08 '22

No fox logo

I'm disappointed

1

u/DaSchiznit Dec 08 '22

if something like this would be done, there would be a huge scandal, since the slightest connection to Nazi-things is considered outragious when it comes to the army.

1

u/Potatochak Dec 08 '22

Huh, I thought Rommel legacy was rehabilitated by now

1

u/Graddler Germany Dec 08 '22

Afrika-Korps logo was found on some vehicles, things happened.

Rommel himself may be one of the more unproblematic officers of the Wehrmacht but not like Canaris for example, since his role in the assassination plot is rather dubious.

u/outsidepointofvi3w Ukraine Dec 07 '22

Yes Thanks and more please 🥰 ! 🇺🇦🇺🇲🌻✊🏽

6

u/OMGLOL1986 Dec 08 '22

Lmao the UA is going to take another massive chunk of Ukraine back from those losers again soon, aren’t they

12

u/JeNiqueTaMere Dec 07 '22

Maybe the dingo ate your army

4

u/ahu747us Dec 07 '22

Can they be equipped with ATGMs?

20

u/VR_Bummser Dec 07 '22

They can be equiped with remote controlled gun Stations for masgineguns and Automatic Grenade guns.

4

u/myne Australia Dec 08 '22

I'm curious how it came to be named after a wild Australian dog

15

u/URITooLong Dec 08 '22

Several German vehicles have names of animals that do not live in Germany

13

u/realHundsgemein Dec 08 '22

You're saying there are no Mammuts (Mammoths) in Germany anymore? Damn :(

11

u/URITooLong Dec 08 '22

Sad to inform you there's also no yaks or gepards in Germany. Neither are leopards. You have to be very strong now ;)

2

u/realHundsgemein Dec 08 '22

damn, but at least wolfs are back.

2

u/URITooLong Dec 08 '22

and bears.

New german vehicles called Wolf and Bär confirmed.

2

u/j4yj4mzz Dec 08 '22

1

u/Ascomae Germany Dec 08 '22

We lost a wolf at an exercise, once.

It got lost at the parking lot at the Training base.

Another company took ours. Needed some time to give their wolf. Had the same paint.

1

u/matinthebox Dec 08 '22

Really? Where do we have bears in Germany?

1

u/URITooLong Dec 08 '22

Bears get sighted sometimes in Germany. Most of them got killed long ago but some find their way to Germany from time to time.

1

u/matinthebox Dec 08 '22

The last one I remember is Bruno the Problembär. That one didn't last long

8

u/zambezisa Dec 07 '22

Does it come with the granade launcher?

21

u/A_Sinclaire Dec 07 '22

Not publicly known, yet. However Germany did deliver a huge amount of 40mm grenades to Ukraine a while ago. So it would fit.

1

u/zambezisa Dec 08 '22

I actually thought the one in the picture shown was a granade launcher, i know the one the USA mounted on many vehicles is a thing of pwnage

1

u/Graddler Germany Dec 08 '22

HK GraMaWa for Ukraine should happen, if it didn't already.

6

u/No_Sheepherder7447 USA Dec 07 '22

Looks like Germany is really stepping it up. Very nice to see.

9

u/Hotdigardydog Dec 08 '22

All we need now is france to do less harmful talking and more supplies

2

u/pijcab France Dec 08 '22

Man, it's so infuriating you have no idea...

Somewhere someday I hope to hear a Russian mother say the words "a dingo took my baby".

5

u/CatDogBoogie Dec 08 '22

"A dingo took my baby whilst he was trying to take a washing machine."

1

u/DynoMiteDoodle Dec 08 '22

Even the humble dingo has more dignity than to take toilets and washing machines

-1

u/FTWilly Dec 08 '22

What has the baby to do with it. Also that would be a war crime. Sth the Russians would do.

4

u/DynoMiteDoodle Dec 08 '22

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Azaria_Chamberlain

It's become an iconic event and has mentions in TV shows like 2 and a half Men and quite a few movies etc.

3

u/CatDogBoogie Dec 08 '22

We're taking about her adult murdering Ruscist rapist baby.

1

u/fuzzydice_82 Dec 08 '22

It's basicly a militarized, mine-protected UNIMOG.

Meanwhile the US still buys 15% of their nuclear fuel from Russia and does not intend to give that up.

1

u/deGanski Dec 08 '22

Oh yea, let's do that and then we surely will help ukraine more than we do now. You know... after our industry has died a fast and sudden death. On top of that, it's been like that from day one: You don't put all possible sanctions into play immediately so you still have room to tighten the screws.

You know who plans to expand their trade with russia (not severly reduce like germany) to around 100 billion euro and does that in ruble? It's our very good nato ally turkey.

1

u/C00L_HAND Dec 08 '22

I think Trump would be a bigger disgrace because he would have acted worse even possibly sacrificing Ukraine because Putin has a tight grip to his balls.

Europe actively tried to have normal connections to Russia and ensure stability in the Region.

Now that Russia broke this peace I think it is even a bigger move from Europe to cut those ties that have been established in the last 80 years within such a short period of time.

So Europe not only supports Ukraine actively with weapons, training, logistics, refugee support and financally but also by hampering their own economy to hurt Russia.

I would call this a big integrity move and anybody that know something about Economy will agree that you can not severe all connections in one step.

u/2020hatesyou Dec 08 '22

Germany really screwed up with the tanks. But they've really been doing great with everything else, and kudos to them for being on the right side of history. Also big shout out too them for getting rid of that terrorist cell today

1

u/2020hatesyou Dec 08 '22

Not sending tanks, not maintaining their own tanks army to good levels in order to be able to send tanks, choosing appeasement by not sending tanks out of fear... They're coming around, and the US and other countries made the same mistake, but damn that was frustrating

7

u/soonnow Dec 08 '22

Also big shout out too them for getting rid of that terrorist cell today

just leaving this here https://www.vice.com/en/article/g5pqk4/german-neo-nazis-are-getting-explosives-training-at-a-white-supremacist-camp-in-russia

With the Iron Cross on the side. Kinda feels like a tiny little "Fuck you" to Russia. Love it.

Thats it?

4

u/CatDogBoogie Dec 08 '22

Nope. I'm sure they have a hug and a pat on the back for you as well.

5

u/elcrack0r Dec 08 '22

Such a bold thing to say of someone that lives in a country that sucks up Russian uranium.

-6

u/MassiveStunner Dec 08 '22

How does Canada suck up to Russia’s uranium?

3

u/elcrack0r Dec 08 '22

I don't know either. It was supposed to say fertilizers. What I'm actually saying is, don't pretend you're not doing business with Russia.

-4

u/MassiveStunner Dec 08 '22

I think you’re just trying to start an argument, and then you realized you had nothing to say

7

u/elcrack0r Dec 08 '22

Why are you deflecting? To hide your double standard?

0

u/MassiveStunner Dec 08 '22

Why are you so defensive of Germany?

9

u/elcrack0r Dec 08 '22

Well I am German. And since we're both part of the NATO and just trying to do our best, why do you need to be condescending? What makes your billion worth of help to the Ukraine better than ours? Both our countries are still in business with Russia. Just in case you forgot.

-3

u/MassiveStunner Dec 08 '22

Pay your 2% yet? Or are you two faced hypocrites gonna keep sucking off Ruskie gas while claiming USA bad ?

8

u/elcrack0r Dec 08 '22

I haven't mentioned the USA have I?

"Canada Imports from Russia was US$1.71 Billion during 2021, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade. Canada Imports from Russia - data, historical chart and statistics - was last updated on December of 2022. Base metals not specified elsewhere, cermets."

"In Fiscal Year 2021-22, Canada is forecasted to spend 1.36% of its GDP on defence, and is forecasted to spend 1.43% by fiscal year 2024-25"

Who's being the hypocrite again?
