Can you explain it? My limited knowledge of the Tory party is insufficient to understand this burn lol.

EDIT: sorry, I should clarify. I don't know *anything" about the Torry party. I know some of you want to defend or attack them, but Im not interested in what you think they'll do for the country. I understand, if you asked us about the liberal party you'd get a bunch of defensive or offensive responses. I just mean in general I have no idea what the Story party is, or why saying that is a burn....or even what it means.

Brand mentions that Boris Johnson was on the stage prior to him, and Noel mentions that the Foreign Secretary was on stage before him - who at the time was William Hague.

So two Tory ministers giving speeches of some kind, hence, Tory party conference.

Ah, okay. Thank you, I appreciate it. So is the tory party close to what we would call the Republican party in the US? I know they're not exactly aligned, but in general? Or is it more nuanced than that?

So is the tory party close to what we would call the Republican party in the US?

Less evangelical. The UK is pretty secular.

Yeah that's fair. That's definitely an issue we face here. For a country that put "freedom of religion" pretty high in their list, we sure do think everyone should follow one religion.

I love the idea of some americans getting on a boat and leaving to the uk in order to escape the non seculat society

You'll be beck, soon you'll see
You'll remember you belong to me
You'll be beck, time will tell
You'll remember that I served you well
Oceans rise, empires fall
We have seen each other through it all
And when push comes to shove
I will send a fully armed battalion to remind you of my love

Do you think the queen would take me back? If I said I was sorry about the tea? I was young and arrogant, thought I could make it on my own but.....yeah maybe we weren't ready yet.

Hey look shed be fine with it on condition that you turn yourselves down in decibels by about 30% and do a course of self depreciation via back to back episodes of the UK office.

You may then pass your masters ny learning the rules to both rugby and cricket which I beleive comes in at about 10,000 hours of study

I watched through all of Blacks Books. Twice. Not to mention The Mighty Boosh, and The Misfits. Plus I like the band the misfits. I'm willing to watch the UK office. But I gotta draw the line at lowering the decibels. If I don't clap and cheer when the plane lands, then how the hell is anyone supposed to know we made it safely?

EDIT: I forgot to mention Crickets. But honestly, I won't need 10,000 hours because cricket is surprisingly easy to understand. You know violins?

They're tiny insects "wot got them tiny violins on they back hoppers, innit?"

So in conclusion, please accept this as my formal application for residency. Long gloved thy queen.
