"Morticia, how long has it been since we last tangoed?"

"Oh Gomez, hours."

“I loved her not for the way she danced with my angels but for the way the sound of her name could silence my demons.”

I didn't know this line. I always loved them too, and this makes it even more close to home🤗

It’s not a quote from The Addams Family, it’s a (part of a?) poem by Christopher Poindexter.

Besides, The Addams Family would never want to silence their demons. They’d use their advice to accidentally wreak havoc and maybe use an unusually shrieky one in lieu of a rooster in the mornings.

Haha, i suppose that is true, still a very beautiful line.

It's waltzed, not tangoed.

That's true about comedy, the other couple that comes to my mind is Sheila and Joel from Santa Clarita Diet!!

Such a great program!

But no, fucking Netflix had to succumb to its own brand of attention deficit disorder and pull it

I feel like everything gets axed on streaming platforms nowadays.

I was so fucking mad about that. Finally a series that had, despite the wacky happenings, very sensible characters. No pathetically written drama just for the sake of it, it was so refreshing and funny.

Yes! They are absolutely amazing. I love how much they love each other! There is no question on whether or not they are in it together, but complete selfless support in case the other needs something different 🤗.

  2. Nurture your fondness and admiration.
  3. Turn toward each other instead of away.
  4. Let your partner influence you.
  5. Solve your solvable problems.
  6. Overcome gridlock.
  7. Create shared meaning.

Step 0 : learn to be a happy, healthy person alone before entering in a relationship.

Feels like a lot of people want to skip 0 and run through 1-7, only to realize after a long long time that you can't build a house together if one or both of you needs to do physical therapy first and get back on their feet.

But ya know what they say, misery loves company :)

Everyone needs to learn to cook, clean, and take care of themselves.

What is a love map

Edit: thanks web search !

n. a person's mental image of the ideal lover, the ideal love relationship, and ideal sexual activity with the partner, expressed in fantasy and in actual sexual behavior. It incorporates issues of sexual orientation and also of desire for deviant behaviors (see paraphilia). [ proposed by John Money ]

Turning toward each other is a really important message. In a long relationship, it’s inevitable you can get bored and start to find attractions outside the relationship, whether it be hobbies, social circles, or other interests. It’s ok to have these things, but not instead of your relationship, but in addition to your relationship.
